"You are late, Damien." ​The voice was crisp, dry, and carried the weight of someone who had never had to ask for anything twice in her seventy-five years. Victoria Vance sat in the high-backed armchair by the fireplace, her back perfectly straight, not even touching the cushions. She wore a sharp, charcoal-gray wool suit, and her silver hair was pinned back into a knot so tight it pulled the skin around her temple smooth. A single string of heavy pearls sat against her collarbone.

"We've fortified your privacy settings and implemented additional security measures. Victoria's attempts to tarnish your reputation will be in vain." Relief flooded over me, but the battle was far from over. Victoria was relentless, driven by jealousy and a desire to reclaim what she believed was rightfully hers. My heart plummeted into my stomach, a new wave of adrenaline spiking in my veins. We put you in that bridal gown because your mother promised you were the submissive, disposable twin we could easily control."

If he wanted to claim her and her daughter he would need to speak English even if it was broken. “She is mine. I chose her.” He said standing possessively in front of her. “Viktor what about your fated mate, if you find her you will have to reject her?” “She is mate” he growled, flashing his wolf to me. ‘Viktor, is she your fated?’ I linked him. All this fighting was causing fear to drip out of Victoria.

She actually let out a sharp, genuine laugh right in my face, her eyes glittering with a terrifying, malicious amusement. "You really do not understand who you are dealing with, do you, Jordan?" Victoria explained coldly, reaching up to aggressively straighten the lapel of my expensive suit jacket. "I do not care about love, affection, or your pathetic, brooding temper tantrums. I am here for absolute, undisputed power, and nothing you say or do will ever terrify me enough to walk away from the Southern Pack throne."

I turn my attention to my brothers and see the murderous look on Kai’s face when he approaches Vanya. “Hello, Vanya; long time no see,” he says and tries to wriggle out of Nikolai’s grasp, but my brother has gotten stronger than her. Then she says four words that cause Kai to snap. “Please, I’ve done nothing!” Nikolai steps back quickly and Kai takes his place; he grabs Vanya by the neck and slams her back even harder. “Nothing? NOTHING?!” he roars. “You had Viktor murdered like a stray in an alleyway, Caterina almost DIED because of your meddling and Nikolai was tortured for MONTHS on end. Don’t you fucking give me that ‘I’ve done nothing’ bullshit!”

Victoria practically shouted out aloud. "What about you, Alexander? You can't agree to this, right? You used to flip out when a guy used to lay his eyes on me. Will, you let just any other guy insert his dick inside me. Mate or no mate, king or no king, he is the other guy for you, ain't he?" Victoria said, looking at Alexander, who was still deep in thought. "Please pardon my manners and words," She said to Christopher, who waved his hand awkwardly.

Dinah forced a smile. “Anything.” “One, I want my own manor.” “Agreed. I will even fill it with twenty specially trained warriors.” “Second, I want a rank that will enable make decisions for Thestryn.” “Agreed. Besides me, I'll give you power above anyone else's. What's the third one?” Violet smirked, “I want you as my plaything every night time.” Dinah eyes widened in surprise and she fell into her throne in shock. Unable to control her disgust, Anya appeared in front of Violet and punched her on the face.
