I close my eyes, fighting an inner battle with myself before finally releasing a breath through my mouth and standing up straight. I looked at the man on the floor and was about to walk away when hushed voices reached my ears. I froze as I slowly turned, listening to what they were saying. ….“If he doesn't crown her as his Queen it would automatically disqualify him as being crowned King of the four realms.” An oddly familiar voice said and my brows furrowed. The four realms? That was the realm of werewolves, witches, faes and I think shapeshifters. I don't know if I was right but I think that was the four realms we had. And from what I know they're actually not at peace.

I watch my mouth move, feel my vocal cords vibrate, but there's a disconnect—as if I'm watching someone else speak with my voice.
