The Wall A Novel Novels & Stories

Large, with a concrete floor, it reeked with the distinct smell of oil, gasoline, and paint that lingered in the air—yet, opposite of what you would have expected to find due to the powerful aromas—the room itself was spotless. Quickly going over to a wall, he reached out and pushed at a section of it. Restlessness practically poured off him in waves as he impatiently waited while the wall silently slid open on well-oiled hinges. Bright light flooded the interior and revealed the arsenal within the compartment. My jaw dropped and I couldn't help but gape, for it looked like world war three could be fought with what had lain hidden behind the inconspicuous wall.

Walls made of politeness and distance and the careful avoidance of anything that might lead to hurt. Oliver didn’t try to tear the walls down. He just… sat beside them. Quietly. Patiently. Until one day, I found myself opening the door. After a book club meeting in early November. We’d been discussing a novel about a woman who leaves her husband and starts over in a small town. The conversation had been heated—Lena loved it, Jenna hated it, Carlos had cried three times—and by the end, I was exhausted. I lingered after everyone left, helping Martha stack chairs.

" Anam do you know you are 22, not 2, stop acting like a kid" He refuses to get up. I stomped my foot and went alone to get my candy. After buying two candies I started walking stuffing my Face with the candy. I got busy eyeing the candy that I crashed on a wall. Who the hell build walls in the middle of nowhere. " Are you okay Miss" The wall asked, wait walls can talk! really. Rubbing my forehead I didn't see these on the wall. " Anam are you alright " The wall knows my name. I am Soo famous. I looked up to see two familiar beautiful grey orbs starring at me.

Howls cracked the night of the north. Together, they moved to one place with one thing in their mind—the enemy’s destruction. Unexpectedly, the wall, which was the pride of the Werewolf Committee, moved much to everyone’s expectation. The wall as tall as the mountains of the west moved to open the sturdy gates made of iron ores, making way for the grand boundary’s familiar scent of disparity and malediction to permeate Diana’s heightened sense of smell—cracking a cold smile from her as her now reddish eyes never left the moving wall.

He eventually stopped at a heavy wooden door. “This is it.” He knocked softly. “Come on in,” a raspy voice drifted from inside. I squeezed Novel’s hand. She looked at me, searching for strength, and I gave her a firm nod. The room smelled of sweet lavender and old parchment. The walls were covered in ancient, jagged script. While I looked around for the occupant, Novel moved as if in a trance toward a specific section of the wall. Her fingers traced the carvings. “It would happen... a human will stop the return of The Myths,” she read aloud.

Nothing. No energy, no presence, nothing that should have been impossible to miss. We moved closer and that was when I noticed something else. “There’s no door.” The wall in front of us was solid, completely seamless, no opening, no break, nothing. Knox stepped forward and said something under his breath, and before I could fully process it, the wall in front of us disappeared. It didn't open, it didn't move, it just vanished. I hesitated for half a second before stepping in after him.

But where is this place and how did I get here. I pushed the duvet away, getting off the bed hurriedly. Ignoring the soreness between my thighs. The coldness of the marble floor against my feet and the coolness of the breeze against my naked body made me realise this wasn't a dream. I looked around the huge room. The wallpapers were pure white, the window drapes were all of burgundy colour. Two novels were on the Vanity table. One was written by Colleen Hoover and the other by an African writer Chinua Achebe.

CASSIOPEIA NYX My hands shook as i rested against the wall of the grimy and dirty cell that i called home. Incessant squeaking from the edge of the cell resounded in the quiet and vast room, making me feel so small as i huddled into myself, My dark hair falling over my face as i rested my head on my knees.

Marcus on the other side of the wall, running his hand along his length like he said he would. The throbbing between my legs becomes more insistent, and I grab a novel I've been reading, flopping onto the bed and flipping open the book, my eyes landing right on…a sex scene. I slam the book closed. Choosing a romance novel to distract myself is entirely unhelpful.

It was twice the height of a man with several flaps of scales around a giant slobbery mouth and rows of giant unrelenting, gnashing teeth. The leathery weather worn skin was wrapped tautly around it, as if it was too big for it’s own skin.
