The Wolf Never Sleeps Novels & Stories

(Spencer POV) I sit on the front porch with the giant white wolf asleep as I have done for the last few nights. When it showed up the first night I didn’t entertain it and it sat whining outside my window until I came out. Normally my nights consist of reading, writing in my journals, working out and just running around the woods. I often volunteer to be part of the night patrol around the borders. Lately though my nights have consisted of sitting out in the muggy summer air with a sleeping wolf. There is a stress the wolf carries that I don’t know about but when he shows up it is like he instantly relaxes and falls asleep. I am certain that his human does not know that he is here and that

He lifted her in his arms and carried her to his bedroom, placing her on the cool sheets before climbing in next to her and wrapping his body around her. "I love you," he whispered. It was the last thing she heard before she fell into a deep sleep. When she woke in the morning sunlight was pouring in through the windows and bathed the bed with a golden glow. She felt something heavy on her lap, shifted and was startled to see a large black wolf lying next to her, his head on her thighs. The amber eyes studied her and she swore they glowed with a secret knowledge. She stroked the big head, sifting her fingers through the satiny hair on its pelt.

But, Asteria remembered that she had met a strange wolf before. "Ah!" She let out a surprised sound. Asteria just found out that she had been sleeping this whole time while hugging the wolf from earlier. It was quite odd that she had joined the wolf to sleep and she admitted that it was quite comfortable, but she couldn't lower her vigilance at the moment.

-Do whatever you want- he sat down adjusting the large quilt- Now come- he drew her to his chest and laid her on the bed- Don't move too much, I want to sleep- Jade stirred slightly, laying her head on the wolf's chest, feeling her thick arm cross over her waist and her thick leg slipped between hers, pressing dangerously up. Although she could barely move in that position she felt protected, the wolf's large body did not allow her to see past him and its scent was stronger than the incense that Izen had left to aromatize the room. She closed her eyes and breathed in letting it fill with her fragrance and soon they were both totally asleep.

Mom, Dad she called out slowly to them moving close in their direction. By the time she found them they had already transformed into werewolves it's wasn't easy, controlling them as wolves, to make them go under the basement, she tried all she could but failed then she said to them, "I don't care how aggressive you are towards me, you know you can't hurt me because I am also a young wolf, just like you are a werewolf from one pack, I can control you, as been a young she-wolf, I will do anything to make sure you don't cause any harm to others."

In the middle of the night when Kyara got up to pee Nathan was missing again and the same brown furred wolf was sleeping in the place of him. Kyara's senses picked a pace. Dangerous scenarios began to prickle in her mind. Was Nathan having affairs with different woman? Why would he be absent from the house every night and nights together? And this wolf would always sleep with her who smells completely like Nathan. Was she an animal to sleep with his pet? Moreover does anybody bring up wolves as their pets instead of cats and dogs?

, they thought. When the fire stopped burning, they moved closer carefully to confirm if their enemy was dead but instead of seeing the ashes of a defeated enemy, they saw a giant grey wolf standing in the midst of the smoke and dust, the iron cage reduced to nothing all around him. Whatever the humanity left in Iron bath was locked away deep down his soul, the only thing left was hunger and a burning desire for carnage.

I couldn't be bothered by anybody else's drama. Only when the sound drew too close did I think to turn. Too late. The wolf was behind me. He swiftly shifted back to his two-legged form and pinned me to the wall with his large body. His weight was unwelcome. I couldn't breathe. "You smell fresh from the shower, omega," he grunted against the side of my face. Something hard poked me insistently on the asṣ as his hot, whiskey breath fanned my face. "Get off me!" I fought. Repulsion stirred my gut when I realized what was poking me between the aṣs.

It seems to respond better when I treat it like my wolf. It’s past midnight when all the supplies arrive. The expanse of the Rift edge is littered with rogue wolves pinned to the ground like computer cables. Unable to move, but completely unharmed. We have groups of pack members and coven members spread out among them, keeping them hydrated and fed…or sedated as needed.

A soft sound leaves her lips, almost a whimper. I kneel beside the bed and reach out before I can stop myself. My fingers brush a strand of hair from her face. Her skin is warm. My fingers trail along her skin and down the curve of her neck. Her pulse beats steadily under my touch, and for the first time in centuries, my wolf stirs to life. ‘She is ours,’ he growls in mind. ‘Mark her.’ I chuckle. Even after hundreds of years, he has not changed. ‘I will not mark her in her sleep.’
