Just then, kael came in, grabbed the young wolf by the throat, and slammed him against the wall. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing.” The young wolf struggled weakly. “ She— the White Wolves they attacked. Burned our farms, killed six of ours. They left a message. Return the princess or there will be a war.”

"Yes, you. What's your name?" I had no interest in starting trouble, so I answered her casually. "Stella Asher." I was the Wolf Princess of the grasslands. The only true princess. I hunted my own wolf during my coming-of-age ceremony and made my own fur coat. Since then, I'd become a legend. Somehow, that story had been twisted into something else. People now believed I'd relied on my parents to get my fur, and now someone was even impersonating me. Still, I didn't want drama with her. I came here to live peacefully for the next four years.

The leader was a scarred gray wolf, ribs sharp from hunger, but his shoulders were dropped low, set to attack. “Well, now.” He bared half a broken tooth. “The little Silver Mane princess. What are you doing out here all alone?” I didn't move. My fingers crept toward the short dagger at my waist. “Get a whiff of that scent.” Another wolf leaned in and sniffed, then laughed. “Oh. So it's a poor little abandoned pup.” “I heard you've got a temper. I don’t think so. A body like that ought to come with some fire.” The scarred wolf's eyes lit up. “Princess, this is your lucky night.”

He she wolf thought that was all there is to it and there were done but she could not have been any more wrong for the thirteenth prince had another notion in mind. The sight of her disheveled beneath him with her skin flushed red, almost matching with the colour of her red hair and with her hair scattered in a web like state was more than enough to make him ready to go again. Before the she wolf could even try to register what it was that was happening, the thirteenth prince had flipped her over so that he was laid down on her chest and her back was facing him as he was above her. I say and pat Aiden’s shoulder before turning my attention to the small girl hiding behind him. “Zara, princess, I am so sorry it took us this long to find you,” I say softly to calm her down. “We have wished for this day, every day. Can I please hug you, princess?” I whisper, not wanting her to be afraid. She surprises me, and I think herself when she rushes into my arms and begins to cry. I hold her tight a feeling of peace and relief floods me. Aiden is anxious, and I smile at him. He is a newly mated wolf, and Alpha was born at that, so I understand him. He doesn’t like seeing his mate crying. “Your safe, princess, and we will get you home. Your mom is waiting for you.”

His limbs twisted, paws forming where hands had been. The transformation was violent, every shift looking like it tore him apart. Sweat—or maybe blood—glistened on his fur as it covered him completely. Finally, he stood on all fours, a massive wolf with sleek black fur and those same piercing gray eyes. He panted, steam rising from his muzzle in the cool night air. I couldn't breathe. Terror mixed with awe, rooting me to the spot. This was Lucas. A werewolf. And if he was telling the truth about that... what about me? The bond?

I ask, “I wasn’t, but that’s probably due to who I am. Why are you scared about Marigold?” “Who are you? And… well…” She hesitates to tell me, I don’t blame her. I am a stranger, but her hesitation makes me realize that Marigold’s issue isn’t physical. She breathes out nervously and I tell her, “I’m the Princess of werewolves… that’s why I was never picked on.” She sounds surprised as she asks, “There’s werewolf royalty?” Then she rushes out, “Sorry, I’m new to all of this. I didn’t mean to offend you in any way. Was I supposed to curtsy or something when we met?”

I won't be able to update this book tomorrow because I'll be doing a quick edit to the work before I resume writing. I promise "The wolf Prince" will be back in a matter of a day ( 21/07/2021). As I sat to wait on the Princessses to arrive, I questioned what the meal was for the evening, and requested wine for the occasion. Princess Crysanthi arrived first, making a face as she noticed the silver dishes placed at rhe table. While she may have been annoyed by it, she chose not to speak on the issue and instead poured herself and our Royal guest a glass of wine. I was surprised when the Wolf Princess arrived for dinner. Wolves were known to be tall and muscular creatures, with their females standing tall and proud like super models, but the Wolf Princess was the complete opposite. She was a tiny and petite thing, though she still stood as proud as the rest.
