By the silence between songs. By every pair of tiny eyes that look at me with hope, not knowing the monster I used to be. I will always be the woman who could never become a mother. Some stories don't have happy endings. Especially for women like me. Perhaps my story never had an ending at all.

But as painful as this was, it was clear that if she stayed, she was just going to become the other woman in her marriage. Ryan did not confirm nor deny it, but I could tell the truth from the guilty look in his eyes. The scorching summer day in June felt like winter to me. I held my breath in shock. What was I to Ryan, if that woman was his wife? "Stop faking it," the woman taunted me. Then, she went on to introduce me to the onlookers. "Ladies and gentlemen, take a good look at this homewrecker! She snatched my husband from me, and she had the audacity to ask him for an apartment."

And fireworks? “I’m not fucking around,” one of the women said sharply. She had dark hair, dark eyes, and a lanky build. She put her arm around another woman who was crying. My eyes closed, and when I reached to open them again, they seemed to have disappeared. Restraints, always restraints. The monster pulled me deeper. “I have a responsibility,” the sharp woman said. She sounded like Paige, my Paige. Maybe she was my Paige. Maybe Paige was safe, close enough to touch, and doing what she did best: protecting the women around her.

I'm forcefully staring at some prick for twenty fucking minutes and feeling his nasty irritating glare all over my body. The creature known as men, are so fucking annoying. They don't know how to keep their eyes and the thing into their pants where they belong to. They'd run toward you like dogs if you give them a single positive glance. So fucking ludicrous. But here everyone thinks women are fragile and weak. Trust me, a woman can bring a man to fall on his knees with a single glance whether he's dangerous, inhumane or vicious; from a mighty king to a relentless warrior. And history is its biggest testimony.

What a fucking plot—it makes me want to subscribe… not. The funny thing about these people? They glorify men (because that’s how low they can go, honestly) but they’ll keep on pitting women against women. For them—that’s where the entertainment stems from. Women drama. Emotions. Anger. Frustrations. Screw that. I won’t submit to that.

SN: I will be introducing a new character into the book and she's most likely to change the plot and thicken the drama as she's involved in the lives of all the older characters so buy some coins and enjoy reading 'Women'. This new character would bring drama, comedy, action and suspense into the book. You might have an idea of who she is but trust me, you'll never see it coming. She is an independent woman as well and a strong one who doesn't stand for anybody's bullshit. She'll bring all other characters to a halt and change perspectives. Also, sneak peek; there may or may not be a separation in view for an unexpected couple.

It's about testimony. Instead, I'm reading at the foundation. Thirty women. That's who's here. Thirty women who have survived something. Who have made it to the other side of something that tried to break them. Who understand that a book like this isn't entertainment. It's witness. It's proof that the thing that happened to you doesn't have to be the final word on who you are.
