I continued to yell "I don't know what to say" he said "Of course you don't know what to say because you can't own up to your damn mistakes like always" I yelled I again, and that's when he got angry stood up wobily and came towards me " What do you want me to say huh?, What do you want me to do? I hate him and his arrogant ways and if I had a wish. If I had a wish. That thought struck a nerve and I started thinking about all the things I could wish for. To change my past, or perhaps I could've made a wish before it actually took place. I could wish for a family that really loved me ; or maybe a family of my own. But wishes were only lost thoughts and they will never come true. I left the park and went back to the office. Some of the workers were looking at me as I made my way to the elevator. It didn't faze me because I was used to being stared at. Whether it was because of my body or my status.

I turned away, not willing to let him see the tears that threatened to escape. I stared into Edward's eyes, my words dripping with venom, as if each syllable carried the weight of my misery. "I wish I had died, I wish they didn’t send me back to this miserable world where I have to see your face. I hate you, Edward!" The intensity of my emotions was palpable, and I relished the chance to unload all the pain and anger that had been festering within me.

But the echo of it lingered. Heavy. Devastating. The truth ends the dream you didn’t know you were still living. I pressed the back of my wrist to my mouth to stop the tremor in my breath. The paper rustled as my fingers clenched tighter, until the edge cut into my skin. A small sting, almost welcome—it was something I could control when everything else wasn’t. “I still wish…” My voice cracked softly, barely a whisper. “I still wish she was mine.” The sound of my own words startled me. They hung in the air, fragile, like something that shouldn’t have escaped.

He just watched quietly, like he understood that the dress was only part of what was happening in the room. I looked at myself again. “I wish my grandpa was here,” I said. The words came out before I could decide whether I wanted to say them. Once they were in the air, I couldn’t take them back. “I wish he could see this,” I said. “See how happy I am. See that I didn’t stay where I was. That I found something better.” Joella moved closer. “I know,” she said.

She was just fucken amazing I wished I was just sitting here throughout the day listening and talking to her. She was way better than my afternoon double date.. "I wish you were here..." I said in almost a whisper. Then she stopped talking and looked at me... 'what?' I cleared my throat, "I wish you were here with me Kathy... I wish I could call you and talk to you anytime of the day or night because you seem to understand me, sometimes even more than I think I do..
