“My father listened to opera, but I’m not familiar with that one.”
“You may recognize the music. Themes from Carmina Burana are sometimes used in movies and advertising,” he said.
“Is it Italian?”
“German and Latin.”
I said, “My dad listened to my mother’s favorites, Aida, La Traviata, and Madame Butterfly, but not much else.”
“Ah, Madame Butterfly,” Richard said. “It’s one of my favorite love stories.”
