I purposely held his hand again, slowly interlacing my fingers within the space of his; this time, I was the one resting my head on his shoulder.
We stayed like that until the film rolled to an end, and we’re left crestfallen yet somehow happy at the very same time. As the film credits rolled at the big screen in front of us, we were both breathing quietly. I’m going to make a guess that he’s digesting the ending of the film as much I do. It felt sad and tragic; however, death is always the end of every single walk of life on this planet. It’s one of the permanent things that we don’t want, but we will eventually get.
