Foremost, and by far the most important, I would like to state that this book does not really focus on romance. It just doesn't, in my opinion, fit in that criteria. Perhaps in a sub-genre. But not in a category, or a genre itself.

That lands harder than I expect it to. I study him, this stranger with the flat voice and the careful eyes, and I hate that some small, exhausted part of me believes him. "Say it," I tell him. "If you're so sure. Say what you think this is."

Uh, that doesn’t make you a bad person, does it? “Well, that’s a lot of sharing,” you tell him. “Yeah, well, I’m not looking for pity sex or anything — I just want what I think is normal stuff, and I’ve always been into you… not because I think you’d give in or to manipulate you. Seriously…” he hugs you and nuzzles your neck, giving you more goose bumps, “I think you’d be tons of fun.”

Perfect. As I flipped through the chapters, the story heated up fast. The protagonist, a shy librarian much like me, was cornered in the stacks by a dominant stranger. His hands roamed her body without mercy, fingers teasing her nipples until they ached, then dipping lower to claim her wetness. I shifted on the couch, feeling that familiar tingle between my legs. God, why did these books always get me so worked up? My thighs pressed together instinctively, seeking friction.
