He looked like a character from a spy novel, and Anne and Tris exchanged a curious glance. "Can I help you?" Tris asked, trying to sound friendly and welcoming. The man smiled, his lips curling up in a sly grin. "I'm looking for a book," he said, his voice low and smooth. "A very special book. It's not on the shelves, I'm told." Anne and Tris exchanged a skeptical glance. What kind of book could this man be looking for? "What's the title of the book?" Tris asked, trying to sound neutral.

She exclaimed while running behind the old man to keep up with him. "M-Miss!" The two maids exchanged glances as they trembled with the thought that something bad might happen to their Lady. Meanwhile, just a floor above them, the old man opened a safe from the uppermost shelf. Anyone would notice how he carefully placed all the books about mana inside that big safe, but he didn't use any keys to open it, somehow it seemed like he had been taking books in and out of the safe. "Here are the books you want." He said, putting down all the books on the table beside the window.

But, they didn't know that it is their cruelty and their fear for something that they did not know is much more monstrous. I moved to the next page, again. With that, the Zombie Man chooses to live a simple life away from other people. Day by day the Zombie Man chooses to pretend to be a human but failed. I was about to move to the next page of the book titled The Zombie Man that I am reading again. But I was immediately taken aback by the arrival of a new guest today. “How are you, Hailey?” Asked by the man who's checking my vitals. He was Dr Charles Perelman, Hailey's father.

He muttered as he opened the Writers app to read the most popular stories on the app. He opened chapter 16, because the last time he read it was in chapter 15. Although he was reluctant to read the scenes that made him shudder, he finally did. The man showed his smile to the world, as if confirming he was the winner. A lion that roars loudly, making anyone who hears its sound frightened or a gorilla that beats its chest to show its power.

Monster The man in front of me was everything I expected him to be. From the combed over silver hair to the perfectly pressed creases in his pants. Steel blue eyes glared at me from across the table. I was under no illusion that men broke under that stare. But I wasn’t most men. And I sure as hell wasn’t about to back down. Meeting his death stare with a smirk, I leant back on the chair, crossing my legs at the ankles. For a second, his eyes flicked towards my boots, and then slowly, as if to intimidate me further, he let his eyes drift up higher, lingering on the patches of my cut.

He looks like he could chop wood all day. I recognise him immediately as the kind man who put lip balm on my painful, dry, cracked lips. Ah, the relief it brought was immense. Then another, older man comes into the room, “what’s all the commotion about?”. Not entirely sure who all these people are, or what I am doing here, I feel increasingly weak. I look up at the handsome, tired looking bearded man, “you...put lip balm...on my lips?” He nods, yes.

"I wanted to have a normal life." George chuckled. "Normal life? With your bloody and dirty hands, you think you can act normal with normal people? What a funny delusion you have." He stood up and added a few more thousand dollars to the man's account. "However, this information helps me. I will reward you for that," he added. The man's eyes widened, but he trembled in relief, and George could see it. Thus, he did not pry about it anymore. His expression darkened, a mixture of concern and apprehension clouding his features as he processed the information.

I sensed cold steel against my wrists and shivered as I opened my eyes. A bed covered in pink sheets came into view, but my attention quickly shifted to the man standing against the light. The sight of him immediately set my throat on fire. He stood at least 6'2", his compact frame carrying an unmistakable air of dominance. The first two buttons of his dress shirt hung open, exposing the sharp outline of his collarbones and the smooth, powerful planes of his chest. But his face. Holy shit. Those deep, endless eyes. That sculpted, almost elven nose. Those thin, supple lips pressed into a seductive frown.
