This One Summer Book Novels & Stories

Liam asked. I wipe my tears and shake my head. "You?" "Same," Logan brushed his hair roughly back. "There are over a hundred people here because it's the weekend." "The strip here is one of the most popular places, especially during the summer," Liam explains. "I can believe I left her without telling her where I'm going," Lily whispered and dropped her head. "If Ramsey got lost...Oh, God! I will be the worst mother!" Liam had her in his arms for comfort. "You're a great mother, Lily. That will never happen."

Yet somehow… my mind still drifted toward a stubborn eighteen-year-old girl with pink bandages and reckless eyes. Ava. Even after three days away from her, she still found a way into my thoughts like she belonged there. And that was the real problem. I exhaled sharply and grabbed the whiskey bottle from the table, pouring another glass. Outside, Pasadena glittered beneath the night sky. Beautiful. But inside the hotel suite, I already knew the truth. This summer was becoming dangerous in ways I never expected.

What do normal people do when they come to Crete for a summer vacation? They probably post photos on I*******m with captions like "Sun, sea, sand #blessed," sip ouzo in the evenings, smash plates, and just soak up that effortless island vibe. And what am I doing? I’m covering my ears with my hands, counting prime numbers backward in my head, and trying not to lose my absolute mind. I am in a literal marathon to stay sane.

She shows me a piece of yellow bikini that's extremely eye-catching. "I'm sure you're going to rock in it," I answer with a smile. "Miami chicks, better watch out for your men," she screams her usual lines, forcing a smile out of me, before breaking into a heavy sigh. "Even if I can't have Liam, this has been the best summer ever." Can we not talk about Liam?

Childishly, she stomps on it with her heeled boot to appease her rage before letting out a small scream of frustration. I watch her make a dramatic exit before stepping out from between the shelves a couple of seconds later, eyes cautiously searching just in case. Shaking my head in amusement I trace my way back to the storefront and settle on one of the sofa’s to read. I feel the need to arm myself with a lot of knowledge now that I know what I could become, the first book I’d picked is called History of Elementals. On the first page is the beautiful design of the black interlaced knots in the middle of the page. Seeing the knot, I’m reminded of my black triquetra tattoo and shift uncomfort

So far, you have met or 'heard of' (ahem) the major leads, and now book two will be centred on: Daisy, Erden, Kassian, Bryant, the demon, a bit of travelling to different continents with Isaac and more of fierce Vivanna, lol, unfortunately, the bumbling and uncertain Vivanna dies in book one and comes back far more villainous in book two. I’d also like to thank you so much for reading. Undercover_Ostritch

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ CALEB’S POV ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ This has been the best summer of my life. If I had to describe it in one word: bliss. A whole three months of it, where the rest of the world disappeared.

Over summer break, right after graduation, my parents, Stuart and Rachel Powell, decided the whole family would take a road trip together. But the moment I hauled my suitcase up to the car door, Mom's hand shot out to stop me. "There's no room. Maybe you should just sit this one out." She glanced back at the seat behind her. "Aiden doesn't want you along, either. He's not feeling well right now, so give way to him." My knuckles went white on the suitcase handle, and my throat turning bitter. Aiden was the biological son they'd lost years ago and only just found again. Ever since he came back, everything that used to be mine had gone to him. Slowly, I'd been pushed to the margins of t

Summer picked up the book she left in the living room and she walked back to the kitchen to sit with Spring, as Ruby made lunch. She would be going out soon because it was her birthday tomorrow, and she was planning to get some things to prepare for it. “Stop pulling that, Spring. Leave your sister alone.” She said when she saw Spring pulling at Summer’s book. He loved to pick on her sometimes like that, but she was always there to stop him. Spring laughed. "I was just messing with her, but she's a crybaby.” He said as Summer’s eyes started to water with tears.

1 week later Adonis's POV "Ah Finally! I found it! Yes!" I leave a sigh and lie back on my bed, staring at the attractive comic book cover on my phone screen. The cover features a beautiful blonde girl in the middle of two identical twin guys, their only difference in the colour of their hair. One has blonde hair and the other is a brunette. "Double Trouble," I read the name aloud. "And it's the last one." It's the last of Theo's comic books.
