“I don’t want to hear it.” I stepped back, creating space between us. “If you had just stuck to the plan, none of this would have happened,” I said, my voice quieter now but still sharp. “You said you’d handle things. You said I wouldn’t have to deal with this.” His brows pulled slightly. “The videos, the crowd, everything,” I went on. “I wouldn’t have been out there like that. I wouldn’t have been alone.” I let out a short breath. “But you didn’t,” I added. “You went and got engaged instead.”

“Frank, what is this?! What is going on?!” There was a pause on his end. “You’ve seen it.” “Of course I’ve seen it!” I yelled, pacing faster now. “It’s everywhere! The whole world is seeing it! This wasn’t the plan, Frank! What are you doing?!” “It is the plan,” he said calmly. “No, it’s not!” I snapped immediately. “We agreed to be careful! To move step by step! Not to blow everything up like this!” “Plans change.” I let out a disbelieving laugh, dragging my hand through my hair. “Oh, so you just decided that on your own? You didn’t think to tell me?”

I wasn’t stopping. I wasn’t waiting forever. But I wasn’t running blindly either. Not yet. Not when there was still a chance to do this right. “To plan,” I added. Zira nodded. “To plan.”

I stand there, holding a stolen phone, while my kidnappee sips whiskey and roasts me in front of my own club. I shake my head like I can rattle the plans back into place. Nothing. What the fuck were the plans? I spin to Ghost, helmet still clutched in one hand like a grenade. “What were the plans again?” He groans loudly “Like I fucking know. They were coming to talk club business, but then you and Theo said you had plans. You didn’t tell me what.” Shit. What the hell did we plan? Not drinking, we’d just do that here. Not patching tires. Not robbing a bank. My brain’s a blank, spinning wheel of death.

That kitten knew I wasn't a cat person and left me alone, mostly. I decided I was just going to barrel through the situation. I did what I did and I couldn't take it back. Besides, I didn't do anything wrong, expect not to talk Ana through all the steps of the plan. It hadn't been necessary and there hadn't been time once the plan had changed.

Anything other than that was definitely not in my agenda. Hopefully the universe will stick to my plans and not contravene them.

If nothing, it grew as days came by and that was something I couldn't fathom. I was thinking that, as time went by, whatever it is that we had going on would dwindle and we would go our separate ways when the time was right, however, I was solely mistaken. Clearing my throat when I figured that I had been staring for long, I took few steps back, trying to break myself off the trance I was in. "What about your plan Aiden?" He too cleared his throat as he ran his fingers through his neatly styled hair. "Yes, the plan."

I asked just to see what was going on in his head “Oh, I was so sure that this plan was going to fail “So what was your plan all along?” I asked in curiosity “Well, I had a Plan B, “ He said plainly. “Really? And what was this Plan B of yours “ I was dying to know Well, I guess it is not necessary anymore. You made it necessary for us not to use it so it doesn’t matter” he said “Before I go back and forth with you asking you what your Plan B was, do you think you’re ever gonna tell me because I am dying to know?”

Room. Child. This plan was different. I liked this one…

It seemed like a pretty simple plan, and we were confident it would go smoothly. Spoiler alert. It did not.
