Thorn Blade Bg3 Novels & Stories

And for the first time in my life, I believed someone. Completely. ( Rafael’s POV ) Night fell like a blade. We moved before they could. The Blakes thought they could walk into my world, drag her back like nothing had changed. They underestimated how much I cared. They underestimated what I was willing to do. We caught them just outside the city. Three black cars. Two mercenaries hired for muscle. Her father shouting orders like he still had power. I ended it fast. No drawn-out speeches. No warnings. A bullet in the father’s chest.

He pressed a hand to the back of my neck and spoke the oldest of the words: *"By the Moon who bore us, by the blood that binds us, I, Damien Thorne, claim you, Elara Vaelorien, as my mate, for this life and the next." When he was done, he unhooked a dagger from his belt and held it out to me. "I spent three years sharpening this," he said. "The core is cold iron. The blade is sheathed in silver. Cold iron is poison to elves. Silver is poison to wolves. This blade is the only thing in the world that can truly hurt either of us." He looked at me, and gave a small, crooked smile. "Elara — if I ever hurt you, use it. Kill me with it. That way, when I die, at least I die at your hand."

I spun around, blocking the blade with my forearm, the steel-like skin of my arm stopping it. “You’ve gotten faster,” I muttered, pushing him back with a powerful shove. “And you’ve gotten predictable,” Blackthorn shot back, his eyes glowing with amusement. He lunged at me again, faster this time, the shadows around him growing more dangerous. I countered with a blast of solar energy, the heat from the blast vaporizing the tendrils as they reached for me.

she purred, her tone dripping with amusement. A thick, swirling black smoke began to form, filling the space around Lara. The darkness felt alive, pulsing with malice, and from within it, Thana emerged, her figure tall and menacing. Her dark cloak billowed around her, and her cold, gleaming eyes locked onto Lara. In her hand, she held a gleaming blade, its edges shimmering with dark magic, ready to strike. Lara quickly rose to her feet, grabbing her blade with renewed determination. Cyrus—no, Ethan—did the same beside her, clutching his weapon despite his injury. The two of them stood side by side, mother and son, ready to face Thana.

Every time one of them let out a short, chirping cry, the air around them seemed to ripple, shattering the stone beneath their feet. “Wolves, to me!” Thorne’s voice thundered from the path above. He slid down the embankment, his axe already glowing with a fierce silver light. Behind him, forty warriors leapt into the fray, their obsidian blades clashing against the translucent skin of the sea-dwellers.

“That’s what I will teach you.” Serenya swallowed, wiping sweat from her brow. Her muscles still hummed from Isolde’s shadow training, every nerve wired tight. More? Solana’s voice stirred inside her, equal parts weary and eager. Good. Let him sharpen you. Iron must meet fire before it becomes a blade. Thorne lifted his hand and, with a flick, a dagger appeared between his fingers. He tossed it to her without warning. Serenya caught it awkwardly, fumbling at first, before her grip adjusted.

“Kade, on your left!” The Forsaken had broken away from Sable and was coming for me. Liora intercepted it, leaping onto its back and stabbing repeatedly with a broken blade. “You wanted Thorn blood? Take mine!” The Forsaken roared and flung her off. She hit the ground hard but rolled to her feet immediately. “That all you got, you ancient leech?” “Insolent female!” the Forsaken snarled. “I will peel the flesh from your bones while your mate watches!”

All of the warriors ended up with a selēnítēs líthos blade. Thorn said he wouldn't make any more at this stage as he was tired and had expended much energy. He would reserve the little he had left to protect those unable to fight. I knew this was a wise choice, as Avril had told me that the ability to cast elemental magic cost the caster energy.

Selvin stepped over Thorin and made his way to Imara and Eliza who were motionless on the floor. As Thorin reached behind him and pulled the blade from his back, the dripping blood slowly receded back into its wound as it began to heal itself. Thorin raised his hand and pointed the blade at Selvin. “Ceanglaím tú leis an áit seo! Ceanglaím tú leis an áit seo! Ceanglaím tú leis an áit seo!”

Isabella added. Everyone's attention was already on us and few people had their phones out recording the exchange. Ella turned to me “Leila, can we please just ignore these nitwits, they aren't worth our time”. What followed was a blur, but all I could feel was oil from the stew running down my face before hearing the sound of a palm striking a face. The pepper in the stew was stinging my eyes, and all I could think of was getting some water to wash it away.
