Cassie trudged up the hill with her sisters, the massive packhouse looming before them. The three of them weren’t particularly tall, but they were strong. With thick auburn hair and hazel eyes. Their faces, arms and legs were largely covered in freckles. A gift from so many days spent out in the sun with the rest of the pack. The sun was fading now, as they walked through the main room and up the stairs to their families’ wing of the house. They shared a kind of suite, with three bedrooms branching off of a small sitting room. The large bathroom could accommodate all of them, but there always seemed to be a fight over its use.

Then she laughed, a soft, humorless sound. "We were so stupid." Jade's lip quivered. "We loved them." Jayla's expression darkened. "And they used us." Jasmine's jaw clenched. "Not anymore." The room was quiet, but this time it didn't hurt. It was powerful. Because for the first time in months, the three sisters weren't arguing. They weren't broken. They weren't blinded by Sarah's lies. " Within a few days, the transfer procedures were completed quickly. The final payment hit my account. I had completely severed ties with the house that held my brief marriage and too many frustrating memories. I thought that would be the end of it. However, I underestimated just how unreasonable and desperate Sloane could be. A week later, I was in a company meeting when the receptionist rushed over and whispered in my ear, "Graham, there's a woman downstairs claiming to be your sister-in-law. She's making a scene, demanding to see you. "She's crying and cursing, saying... some really awful things. Security can barely hold her back."

“I told you I’ll come back for you. I’m here, Mira. I’m here to get you out of this place.” “We need to cut her loose,” Vivianne says, taking charge again as she steps forward. She brings out a small tool, like a pair of pliers, that somehow makes the zip ties look like paper. She steps back to let the siblings reunite, but her phone buzzes. Her entire face changes as she looks at the screen. “We have to move,” Vivianne says like an order, already turning back toward the stairs. She waits for me to get out first, then tells Shane to go out next. He refuses—but when he sees her lift Mirabelle, he hurries out and gently brings his sister up.

Oh well, she did say she wanted a bunch of kids! So that’s the story of how I ended up touring Europe for my honeymoon like we had planned to do, just me, my pregnant wife, and our two children! I love her, our children, and the life we share. *Slap* Her cheek stung from the brutal slap that was given to her by her stepmother. Rylie Novikov stood in the presence of her stepfamily, a helpless expression on her face. In the coming weeks, Sadie and Elizabeth help Sylvia plan her wedding as the men pack up the home in order to move the young couple to Colorado. Nathan smiles at his wife while she goes over patient notes as she prepares to uproot her practice. In two weeks time, the couple have a surprise for their family and Elizabeth is starting to get nervous.
