The first thing they did was smile. Not kindly. Not reassuring. The kind of smile people use when they want witnesses to believe a story before it even begins. Calm faces. Open palms. This was the moment stories were born. Or buried.

An anomaly had happened and three had been born instead. Daddy Connor, you need to help me!" I stepped forward to lower Hazel's pointing finger. "You're already lying at your age? Daisy didn't say anything like that!" When Daisy was three years old, Connor once took her to the supermarket but didn't change her diaper in time. She ended up crying for hours while strangers stared on. Ever since then, she hated being pointed at.

According to Arkin, the girl was beautiful and wealthy, but when he brought her to his condo, she suddenly asked to call her father to ask for permission because she was willing to get pregnant and have a child with Arkin. Arkin was shocked and quickly made up a story that he was gay. Caspien was amused by Arkin's ridiculous excuse. "You expect me to believe that she fell for that?" he asked, chuckling.
