The monster who took everything from me. I turn toward the window, my only connection to the outside world. The moonlight spills across the floor, casting eerie shadows that stretch toward me like ghostly fingers. The night is alive with the sounds of the forest—crickets chirping, the distant howl of a wolf, the rustling of leaves in the wind. The wind. My pulse quickens. Mei informs, peeking around the back end of the car. I suck in a breath and sum up my depleting energy to turn around and try to peer through the window of the door to see through the other window and check if he's coming back. I squint my eyes as I press my forehead and palms against the glass. It's not tinted, so I can peer through it. Adjusting carefully as I drag the soles of my sandals across the concrete, I'm looking through to glimpse at the door of the store when my eyes notice some movements in the car.

I needed to keep a level head if I was going to find a way out of this situation. The only viable out was the window. If it refused to open then I would find a way to open it. My eyes landed on a solid wood end table next to an oversized leather couch. It was heavy, so hopefully it would do something. I picked it up and took a deep breath before throwing it as hard as I could through the window. Shimmering pieces of glass clattered to the ground below.

Could he have entered my room through the window? My eyes flicker to the window, trying to make sense of it. Then, it hit me. Of course. He must have climbed the tree outside, and then used it to enter my window. "You are nuts," I say, my head shaking in disbelief. "Why on earth would you go through the window to get into my room?" "I had to find a way to see you," He answers, keeping his tone casual, as though breaking into my room is the most normal thing in the world.

She collapsed onto the couch again, this time with no grace left in her body, just a heavy, bitter kind of exhaustion. She turned to face the wide glass window, her eyes blank, her mind spinning in loops. Outside, the city stretched out before her, glittering with the kind of indifference only a cruel universe could offer. The scene before her looked like it belonged on a cinema screen— a slow, torturous film montage of the last few days that refused to end. What a sick joke this all was.

I had no idea I could get this happy with having a proper bathroom. My eyes went to the drawn curtains, a window... I placed my feet on the ground and stood up. I half ran and half tripped to the curtain and flung them open. It was a glass window and behind it, I could see bricks. All the locks on the window were melted so that no one could pick them and if that wasn't enough, the brick was there to take all the hope away.

For some reason unknown to me, my mind kept returning to it. "I wonder... Could it be what I think?" I wondered, closely examining the opening. I needed to understand what about the window intrigued me and captured my attention. Ultimately, I concluded that it must be an option for escape, but I considered it too risky. To confirm my suspicion, I approached the window for a closer look. My suspicion was confirmed as I was shocked by what I saw – it faced the main road where cars passed through. How could I possibly escape through it? Just then, I knew that death was calling in place of an escape.

Venus's POV I wake up and look through the window. Another small pebble hits the glass of the window again and I jump a little before I walk over, to find Theo about to throw another pebble towards my window. It's still dark but Thank Heavens for the werewolf ability that I can see clearly.

Nothing. I wrenched open the bathroom door to see that there was a small, high window leading to the outside. I sighed; this was going to be my second bathroom window I was escaping from in less than twenty four hours. This window was super tiny and I was hoping I could make myself small enough to squeeze through. I grabbed a paperweight from the desk and ran in, standing on the back of the toilet and smashing the glass with the apple figurine. I cleared out the glass as best as I could and then hefted myself up, bellying over the edge and poking my head out. I end up falling asleep to tat thought. I open my eyes and see the window open, snow and wind was flowing in. I slowly walk towards it. I look out and see scratch marks all over the window cell. I felt a shiver go up my spine, not because of the cold, but because I knew I wasn't alone.
