The air crackled with anticipation as the battlefield became our shared hunting ground. Without warning, Zack lunged at me with a lightning-fast speed, his claws extended to rend and tear. Instinctively, I dodged his attack, my agility matching his own. We moved in a deadly dance, our bodies twisting and turning, each strike and parry filled with lethal intent. I swiped at Zack with my powerful claws, but he countered with a swift dodge, retaliating with a series of ferocious bites. The clash of our fangs and the sound of our growls echoed through the night, blending with the wind that whispered through the trees.

I mumbled, turning on the engine. The sun had finally set, and darkness enveloped the sky. Suddenly, a loud thump erupted, startling us all. “What was THAT?!” Darren asked, his eyes darting around. “…L-L-L-LOOK…” Claire trembled, pointing to the far end of the road. I squinted, trying to focus on the source of the thump. “A demon dog?” Darren, James and I said in unison. “Uh… guys. There are a lot more than ‘a’.” Claire said, fear written all over her face as she curled up her feet and clenched unto the hem of her shirt.

Bryden shouted as the building shook from the thunder. “Do you think they may have come up with the same idea we did and ushered everyone into the dungeon?” Just then a huge thunderclap caught me off balance, and I landed against Bryden, and his arms went protectively around me keeping me from falling. “That was bigger than any we had on Valaisha. The others must have been warned and created a worse storm.” I said against Bryden. Just then a lightning bolt came flashing past us and barely missed us, again the thunder sounded, and the ceiling began to crumble and fall on top of us. I quickly brought my hands up and shielded us.

“Clara, we have to be get out of here. Whatever you just awakened, it’s going to bring the whole mountain down on us!” Clara nodded, her heart racing. She could feel the cave trembling, the walls cracking as the ancient forge responded to the weapon’s awakening. They had to move, and fast. “Let’s go!” Clara shouted, pulling the sword free from the pedestal. The minute the sword left its resting put, the tremors escalates, and a stunning thunder reverberated through the cave. The mammoth that had chased them to the forge was back, its infuriated snarls resounding through the mountain. Clara and Ethan traded a look, there was no time to think, as it were to act.

He practically thrusts a brown bag into my hand, stands back, and grins at me. As the first bite hits my tongue, I let out a moan, because it's delicious. "See - I told you." Night Eyes says, leaning against the wall and grinning. I smile and continue munching. I must admit, it feels good, and I'm beginning to feel whole once again, plus the headache that had been budding is ebbing. "Relations of Ash Thunder! A voice booms suddenly. Out of the blues, a doctor appears in his green scrubs and white overalls, and I pale. I thrust the items in my hand into Night Eyes' chest, and walk to meet the doctor.

She shook her head, “I don’t like it when people or animals try and hurt me. Even if they are joking around” “I won’t do that again okay? Promise” “Thank you” she said, finally looking at me, “Sorry that I bit you… and pulled your hair” “And punched you in the face” I finished, getting the most confused look from Audrey. “It’s from Lilo and Stitch” I explained, a wide grin appearing on my face. “What’s that?” “A movie” Her face scrunched up even more and I let out a gasp, excitement filling my insides.

I roar. All of a sudden, there is a deafening clap of thunder. I stand there and look at the sky. Whoever did this has just signed their death warrant because that clap of thunder means that their mothers know they are missing, and the skies darken even more. Dustin and Kaleb are broken out of their haze of shifting, and everyone realizes this situation has now gone from bad to disastrous in no time. I have no intention of stopping them this time. I look at the sky, and I mouth get the fuckers. Unknown

They stood on the porch and looked out at the night sky. The weather was calm and clear only minutes before. Now, clouds roiled and thunder crashed. Red balls of light formed in the sky and seemed to explode sending out white and red streaks of lightning across the sky. There was almost no break in between the flashes. “What the hell’s goin’ on?” Ford roared over the thunder. “A dragon king is being born!” Winston yelled back. “Holy shit! Did you see that one? The clouds over there look like a dragon when the flash goes off!” Moran shouted.

Another thunderous crack. Closer. I plant my feet, shoulders squared. “It’s ancient.” Closer. The ground trembles violently beneath us. “And it’s awake.” Clara POV The ground shakes again hard enough that leaves rain down from the canopy like green snow. Okay. Nope. I hate this already. “This is ridiculous,” I hiss. “We just finished almost dying in the ocean, and now the forest wants to kill us too?” Ares doesn’t answer. He’s locked in full guardian mode muscles tight, eyes gold, energy humming like a storm ready to break.

Just then, there was another round of booming thunder rolling in the distance. "Well, I would love to stay and fancy a chat, but as your precious Liss mentioned, I answer to someone, and we're strapped for time. Chow." He walked away, shoving the girls with him, into the Range Rover, but then he stopped to look back at us. "Here's a parting gift from my master for being such a good sport." We heard the most horrendous sound that a living creature could make. It didn't sound natural, nor animal in either sense. I watched, paralyzed in complete fear as the monstrous thing, landed savagely on the ground, its feet, or possibly talons, causing cracks where it landed.
