Too Late for Regret

Too Late for Regret

“The transfer is my decision.” Elena, sitting directly across from me in a custom cream-colored gown, smiled like a perfect little saint: “Sorella (Sister), the sun exposure out there is intense. Your skin is already—” She paused deliberately. “I mean, you suffered enough hardship growing up away from us. Why push yourself so hard now?” I just looked at her. Last life, she had the exact same ‘I’m doing this for your own good’ routine: “Sister, don’t blame Mom and Dad. They’re just afraid you can’t adapt to the pace.”

well done! im just grateful to have read this story eventhough, there are parts that may seem shallow/simple, but hey it really made me escape my life's trouble by making me laugh...i still cant move on about the "shawn mendez" obsession of Liam, caleb's intimate affection towards food and so on....

Any chance there will be a follow up story to this?! Id LOVE to see what happens after they graduate, and if they can make things work. Really good story, author! Took a bit to get used to the way it was written, but once I did, it was smooth sailing from there. Good little laughs throughout, too!

Wonderful! I loved this book. Great storyline, written well, strong characters and intriguing. What a love story. I must admit that the leading lady did get on my last nerve at times but that meant she was written in a realistic manner. Keep up this awesome work author will be reading more from you.

SWEET MISTAKES

SWEET MISTAKES

Want You Back - 5 Seconds of Summer Gerald's POV 🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯 Creckless, smart, stupid! I admit, the stupid woman is smart, but stupid reckless, without calculation. I clearly couldn't believe what came out of Rara's mouth. I'm not a fool who does anything without analysis. I also could not concede because I was still a teenager.

Sky replied. "Alright, enough already. You don't have to pretend to be humble-brag. Clearly, you always get in the top three ranks, whether in school or university. If you're not smart, how could you have been promoted to your current position within just two years in the office as well as an entrepreneur?" "Why are you praising me now? You were the one who said I was stupid." "Ugh... whatever. Tired of arguing this early in the morning." "Early morning? How could it be morning, my Zeva? It's already midday, almost evening. Just because the weather is cool, you think it's still morning. It's called winter."

TOO LATE TO RETURN

TOO LATE TO RETURN

Junxie Li declared. Tim shrugged and said " One day I will have a girlfriend, I will then take her to the movies," he declared, he sat back on the seat and crossed his legs. He placed his hand on his jaw and looked out of the window like a mafia lord. Junxie Li was dazed. He had underestimated these boys. Just going to be four in a month's time and yet displaying such a super IQ. Theresa Mo glanced at Junxie and said nothing. Her Boys were growing and were intelligent. It's from the words and actions of a child that a parent knows the capability of her kid's intelligence.

Time dragged, second by second. Each one cut deeper. "Hurry up!" "What's the rush? The computer's slow, can't you see?" Winnie snapped. Her hand crawled over the mouse, flipping through folders at a snail's pace. Open. Glance. Close. Open another. "Now where did I put that template?" she muttered, sneaking looks at me. "We just updated it. I really can't remember." "Winnie Booth, you got a death wish?" I grabbed her collar and yanked her out of the chair. "Do you know how cold it is out there? My sister's weak. If anything happens to her, you won't know a single peaceful day for the rest of your life!"

He frowned. "I didn't know she posted this. I'll call her right now and tell her to take it down. Besides, Hazel probably just heard that our families were discussing the wedding and got curious. She was posting for fun. She's just a kid. What does she know about this stuff? You're going to be something like her sister-in-law. You should be more understanding. Don't make a big deal out of everything." I laughed. "A kid? She's twenty-three. Why don't you just call her a baby?"

Frequently Asked Questions

I picked up 'Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart' on a whim after seeing it mentioned in a bookstore display. At first, I wasn’t sure if it would resonate with me, but the title alone felt like a punch to the gut—in a good way. The book’s reflections on life’s regrets and lessons are deceptively simple, but the way Gordon Livingston writes makes each chapter feel like a conversation with a wise, slightly sardonic friend. It’s not a self-help book in the traditional sense; it’s more like a collection of hard-won truths that make you pause and reevaluate your own choices.

What stood out to me was how Livingston blends personal anecdotes with broader philosophical musings. Some chapters hit harder than others, especially the ones about love and loss. There’s a raw honesty to his writing that avoids clichés, which is rare in this genre. If you’re looking for fluffy optimism, this isn’t it—but if you want something that feels real and thought-provoking, it’s absolutely worth your time. I found myself nodding along, dog-earing pages, and even arguing with the book in my head, which is exactly what a good read should do.
