I was reviewing the management contract on my phone when a WhatsApp voice message from Tamara popped up. "So sorry, Mrs. Shepherd," she cooed. "Mr. Shepherd insisted on coming to take care of me. I know I’m delaying his exhibition progress—please don’t blame him!" Her intentions were painfully transparent. Too exhausted to engage, I instead focused on Tamara’s newly changed profile picture. I growled. We shifted, well the ones that could shift, and headed back towards the hospital. I could hear growling as we grew closer. We had to stop about twenty feet from the hospital. The fucking ground was shaking, and it was dark as fuck. There was a thick ring of trees surrounding the entire building. Twelve rogues were growling at something at the front of what was the hospital. One rouge lunged at whatever was standing there only to be struck down by lightning. The thunder was increasing in power. You could feel the fucking power floating in the air along with electricity. “Get out of the way you fey whore.” one of the rogues growled.

Just before any of them could recover, the wall of light started to move forward, in different directions, like a semicircle expanding. The soldiers and werewolves didn't know exactly what to do so they decided to wait. As the strong light moved over the trolls, that was when the uneasiness started. There were mixed reactions from everyone. There were a few screams and a lot of confusion among the armies. Some gasped in surprise or fright. Others moved back and away from the light source. There were some who covered their mouths and observed wide eyed not knowing how to react. This was because, the moment the wall of light moved over the trolls, they turned to stone.
