She emerged ghost-silk, silver chignon unbowed, jade rings clinking judgment as armored men cordoned the dojo. "Coup remnants," she clipped Tokyo steel, dark eyes dissecting carnage cool. "Omega strings pulled. Sealed."

A ghoul—a smoky, semi-corporeal horror with glowing red eyes and clawed hands—materialized from the shadows and slammed into him. He grunted in pain as his back connected hard with the carriage, the breath knocked from his lungs. The cube clattered to the ground but continued its ominous pulse. The ghoul, joined by a second, shambled toward him. The mayor, witnessing this, screamed, and the few townsfolk nearby scattered.

He didn't care where he was going; he just wanted to get out of that place. Raia still couldn't believe what happened when he returned to his dormitory. He just witnessed a murder right in front of his eyes. And it wasn't just an ordinary murder; it was done by a ghoul—a fucking ghoul and a strong one who easily broke a head while crazily laughing at it. The next day was another day for classes, but Raia seemed to have lost all her enthusiasm to get out of bed. He stayed up the last night thinking about what he saw, and no matter how many times he tried to forget everything, it felt like a broken record in his mind.

I closed my eyes and began to breathe through the pain, hoping that with just a few moments of rest I could continue this seemingly never-ending hallway. Once again, I found myself floating away, but this time when I landed in the hospital room I didn't panic. I looked out the window and saw that it was dark outside, darker than normal from what I could tell. When I got close, I could see that someone had turned off the outside lights. Soul eaters, it was amazing how the idea of that didn't seem so ridiculous or alarming now.

The soul eater sits on the floor, covered in blood and something else that I don't recognize until I open the door further and step in. Looking down, I see a disemboweled baby torn to shreds. It's in so many pieces that I can't even tell for sure what it is, except for the baby bottle half buried in the blood and intestines. Suddenly, the smell hits me and I have to bend over as I lose my supper. Sandwich spraying everywhere, even on the soul eater. She looks up at me and smiles while holding an arm bone and then begins gnawing on it.

i said while moving backwards then i noticed something on my t - shirt, a blood stain. "Where did this come from?" I asked myself. another drop dripped on me again, it was coming from the roof , i looked up and i saw a woman killed and hanged up, her whole body was full of blood as if he was being eaten by wolves. When i was about to get out, lights started flicking in my back , somebody was really in there. I stopped and looked back then the lights cane in at once, that was the first time i met my clone face to face, i felt like i was fainting and my whole body was quivering, he looked exactly like me.

She felt a shiver go down her spine as the ghoul's eyes fixed on her. The ghoul laughed, "Oh, I do not think she will be going anywhere." It shoved Lila aside, sending her crashing into a nearby tree. Lila crumpled to the ground, dazed. The ghoul advanced on Hailey, its clawed hands reaching for her. "You smell...different," it hissed. "Special. I wonder what your blood tastes like?" The ghoul bared its sharp teeth, its face twisted in what seemed like a grin. Before Hailey could react, it moved so quickly that she barely saw it coming. Her shoulder was suddenly ripped apart by a sharp pain.

Sebastian did the same and attacked the ghoul, stabbing him in the process. The ghoul roared in pain; Cassandra rushed to it and stabbed its leg. Sebastian rode its back, strangling him. He waved his hand, and a huge rock went to the ghoul's face. Cassandra transformed back into her wolf and bite its stomach. She felt disgusted tasting the green liquid coming off from the ghoul. Sebastian jumped down, and the ghoul fell on the ground, dead. To make sure, Sebastian stabbed his chest. "Hecatos!" Ikrur roared. The battlefield fell in silence. The man with a black coat appeared, and they didn't expect to see him.

The morning of the fourth day did not bring a miracle. It brought a mountain of work. Neo-Tokyo was no longer a Syndicate stronghold, but it wasn't a paradise yet. The fusion of the black needle-ship and the white Spire had created a biological anomaly that hummed at a frequency that made the teeth of everyone within ten miles ache. The "Green-Ghost" vines were still pulsing, their black-and-gold leaves casting long, flickering shadows over the streets of the Gutter.
