Novel & Cerita Tomorrow When The War Began

“We’ll see about that.” The world held its breath. And then—someone’s gun cocked. I didn’t know whose finger would pull the trigger first. But I knew one thing for sure. The war had just begun.

And as the first blood-red streaks of dawn pierced the horizon, I knew, with every fiber of my being, that the war had only just begun. And this time… there would be no retreat.

I just hope she won’t throw a knife at me when she wakes up. When he was done, he lifted the sheets and climbed into bed beside her. Gently, he slid an arm under her head to serve as her pillow and pulled her close, tucking her body securely into his. She fit against him perfectly. He held her like something fragile and precious, brushing his lips to her forehead. His voice was low but filled with steel as he whispered, “Tomorrow, the war begins.” His eyes turned to the window, toward the night sky heavy with stars.

"Time's up." The spotlights went dark, and a professional silence fell over the construction site. They were coming. "Brothers in arms?" Adrian asked. I nodded. "Brothers in arms." And then the war began.

The air shifted. Not in their favor. In mine. Because this wasn’t a negotiation anymore. It was a declaration. And whether they liked it or not— The war had already begun.

I didn’t send a long reply. I didn’t negotiate. I didn’t stall. I simply rejected the order. And just like that, the war began. It wasn’t loud at first. No grand announcement, no ceremonial declaration under the full moon, just movement—quiet, deliberate movement—as messengers started riding between Packs, as alliances shifted in the shadows, as warriors who had once trained side by side began choosing sides based on loyalty, fear, or ambition. By the third day, the lines had been drawn.

The words blurred together as my vision swam with tears. “Give me what was always mine.” He was coming. A day early with a massive army and the barrier that was supposed to hold for another year had fallen in less than two days. Lyra was right to curse. We were not ready. None of us were ready for what was coming. But ready or not the war had begun.

“That’s my girl.” The war began in earnest, yet there was no declaration, no big announcement. It was subtle, silent, the purest form of warfare waged in darkness long before the first bullets were ever fired. Maya realized that once they took this step, once they focused on Julian Devereaux, there was no turning back. No second chances.

If Leo couldn't take this much, how was he supposed to kill him? Tomorrow was war. The chapter was about to close but the destination was yet to be known.

Tomorrow, I will return to the empire. Tomorrow, preparations for war will begin. But for now, I allowed myself to let the stillness settle in to let it anchor me for a brief moment before everything fell into chaos once again.
