A growl rumbled deep within my chest, my body tense as I prepared for either a fight to the death or a reunion. 'Stay back or else,' I braved myself and snarled viciously baring my teeth at the rogues and they laughed at me. 'Who do you think you are to threaten us?' sneered a pitch-black muscular rogue, his voice dripping with menace. 'You are just lost little sheep we are going to take turns on, isn't that right boys?'

Ash tried to scream, to throw his sword, but he was too slow. Rhea didn't flinch. She didn't even raise her hands. She simply opened her mouth. The sound that came out wasn't a scream. It wasn't a howl. It was a roar that seemed to come from the very bowels of the earth, a sound so loud and so alien that it caused the obsidian trees to shatter into dust. It was the roar of a world being unmade. It was the sound of the Ruin.

I couldn't stop seeing it over and over in my head. What horrified me worse was that I couldn't stop Tohr from seeing it as well. An agonizing roar split the air, and nothing could stop him from changing. Tohr tore his clothes off, and a mist swirled around him as his body stretched, shifted, and contorted into his Draygonian form. He's magnificent, I thought as I watched him. Tohr planted his four claws hard into the ground and stretched his snout up to the sky, letting out a roar that made the very ground tremble beneath our feet.

Killian rumbled: his voice thick with a raw, predatory resolve. He didn't use the pack link. He filled his lungs with the thin, cold air of the bridge and let out a purely physical, non-resonant Alpha roar. It was a sound of bone: muscle: and ancient blood: a vibration so powerful it rattled the quartz viewports and shook the very foundation of the ship. It wasn't a call of the spirit; it was a call of the beast.

I crawled backwards still holding my left cheek and tears streaming down my face making my vision slightly blurry. I hit the door with my back, and it all came crashing down on me like a wave that I was trapped. I shook the door, hoping someone would open the door, but it all proved to be fruitless when I heard his words. “Save your energy. No one is hearing you and even if they did, they won't help you,” He laughed sinisterly, making me shake in fear.

A howl sounds some distance in the front, just at the same time a group of rogues leap out of the bushes. I spring into motion immediately, all my training kicking in. I knock the first one down just before he shifts into his wolf, wrapping the wire around his neck and pulling hard. Suddenly, the clearing is a battlefield. Weapons clash against weapon, rogues fall down. I roll to the side, avoiding the snapping of fangs as a wolf lands where I stood a second ago. From the corner of my eye, I see Ragnar watching it all from the sidelines, like a messenger of death himself.

Hades laughs and Poseidon tries to stop it, but it’s too late. I am thrown off her and I roll before I crouch lower and she does the same. Her lips pulled back over her teeth. I scrape my talons on the floor and shriek as I launch forward at the same time she does. We clash violently and crash into the wall. I grab her up by her throat as her claws rake down my face and chest. I growl as my talons pierce her flesh. When I’m pulled backwards.

With a ferocious grin, his shriveled fangs fully bared, he raised the sword high and aimed it at the throat of the giant wolf pinned firmly to the pillar, whose breathing had already become faint. “RUMBLE—!!!” A tremendous roar, powerful enough to tear the roof off the lighthouse, descended from the dark night sky without warning.

Roe instantly stopped crying and Hyde let go of her, hoping that she was done with her tear fest and she glowered at her father,not minding the streaks of mascara which now adorned her beautiful face, "Oh you are one to talk, Mister!" She snarled and took a few steps forward,"All that bullshit you gave as a speech,who do you think that you are fooling?! You might have fooled the rest of this pack but I know the truth! I know you killed my mother!". "Roe!" Hyde cried out in horror as he took hold of her arm, just as the rest of the pack broke out in gasps and murmurs while Alpha Zephyr looked on with a stony look on his face.

*ROAR* The large cat roared in fury when it saw that the ant that had bitten it was still coming. Its eyes gleamed with a vicious light, and it brought out the claws that it had retracted earlier, and jumped high into the air. Like a tossed coin it somersaulted midair several times, defying gravity and once again proving that its massive size didn’t hinder it in the slightest. Then it descended towards Arthur and struck mightily, the impact shaking the battlefield like a cannonball smashing into a building.
