CHAPTER ONE 15th May 2021 MILA'S POV I stood in front of the chapel in which MacCarter was about to be wed. It had been 5 long and hard years, but I was back to recover all that I lost or rather, what was stolen from me. I was no longer that weak 18 year old girl, fresh out of high school, without a Mom or a healthy father. I turned out to be strong and bold. I remain silent during this process, still not sure what to think about this situation. “Oh, this isn’t good.” Axel exclaims, checking his phone. “I have an alert, the police are looking for a fugitive with telekinetic abilities who may be able to identify a high-risk Abnormal known as a ‘Mimic’.” He looks confused and turns to Myah, “Do you know what a Mimic is?” He asks. She doesn’t show any reaction but simply states; “I can’t think of anything relating to that, CC?” Myah looks towards her sister for a further response,

I run as fast as I could, I didn't want to transform in front of him But he stupidly followed me! "Rita what's wrong?" I stop I start feeling nasty headaches, damn! she finally sighed, relaxing a bit. "just one more, baby that's all I need from you, the baby is almost here" Ace said to her, pushing wet locks of her hair out if her face. "Can't Ace" she was breathing heavily now, trying to regain lost strength. "you have to do this Mila, for me, for Roman, for the baby, come on girl, you can do it". Camila seemed to take his word of encouragement because she screamed loudly, pushing as hard as she could and the baby slipped right out. she sighed loudly and collapsed on the bed. She was out. Ace stared at her for a moment as the nurses rallied around attaching this and that.

Mikel said as he pressed his right knee between my thighs, and I was sweating heavily. "What word? I didn't promise you anything," I fired back. Mikel dragged me again and pushed his bedroom door open. "No! Leave me alone!" I screamed as I struggled to break free from Mikel's hold. I had seen Alana and Aiden being lectured by Harry as he was the one training them on how to shapeshift into a dragon and to fly. I tried to shapeshift for the first time since Mikel had turned me into a dragon, but it seemed that I forgot that Mikel was also a dragon, not just any dragon, but the king.

I couldn't help but say it and Elena just smile at me. "This is all thanks to your mate, Freya. He helped me reverse the curse that my mother cast on me. I'm now a witch again and not a werewolf, no offense to your kind but it's just that I'm used to being a witch." Elena told me and I just nodded at her in response. I have no idea what kind of help Michael gave her but when I heard what Elena just said, I couldn’t help but think that maybe Michael wasn’t that bad on the way he treats rogues. "Let's go back to the hall, Freya. I think Michael is already looking for you." Elena said and I just nodded at her in response and then we started walking back to the hall.

The girl turned around and was about to walk away but no way in hell. I grabbed her arm and spun her around. ”Too late for what?” I asked again. The girl yanked her arm free and grabbed a duffel bag that the guard was holding. She tossed it by my feet and gestured with her head. ”Get dressed.” She said and turned around again. She looked over her shoulder. ”I’m Mikayla by the way.” I didn’t answer her. Whoever she was, whichever rank, she was a s strong she-wolf and something told me she was close to the Royals.

I should have known that there is no man that you can trust! I look into his eyes, hate pooling in my gaze. For his part, he looks miserable. “I promise, Star. I’m going to help you.” And then Mikela starts to chant. And I feel my body forcibly starting to shift.

Mikael's voice was warm, his eyes glinting as he drank the content from his cup. "Why does she look like she's seen a ghost? Is she afraid her blood would be used for our next dinner?" someone taunted me in the room, grabbing my attention. He was like a giant, his whole body could swallow me up and probably most people in this room. One of his eyes had been patched and he was bald. On his forearms was a tattoo of a wing and the name Ophylia was written underneath.
