Beth said, opening her window and loudly whispering from the second floor. “We think Zander is attacking Ridge’s pack right now,” Vanessa said. Suddenly Tyson appeared in front of me. Vanessa jumped back, scared. She wasn’t used to seeing magic like that, and she’s never met Tyson before. I dropped my phone in my pajama pants pocket and threw myself at him. “Tell me what the hell is going on, right now,” he said, sternly. I was full-on sobbing now, losing myself. I didn’t want to let him go but we needed to move. I pulled back and tried to compose myself.

"There's no more where that came from." The water had revived me a little, and I no longer felt like a zombie stuck on some dry, sun drenched desert. "Can't you please give me a little more? It's just water." "You're my prisoner, you get what I give you." I thought I was Alpha Khals prisoner, but oh well. "It's bad enough I was told to babysit a little human girl like you, but now I've been turned into some low level server as well." He growled and his voice took on a menacing tone.

A wave of electricity rippled outward. And then— The stars got here lower back . The darkness the Watchers had warped and twisted throughout the galaxy commenced to recede. Rachel’s voice became slightly a whisper. “…Did she simply restore space?” Vanessa smiled. “Yes.” The First Question Ethan exhaled. “Okay. Great. Love that for you.” He reduced his rifle. “Now inform me of the component wherein this doesn’t stop with you turning into a god.” Vanessa raised an eyebrow. “Why do I no longer ?”

“Kaye, do not.” She did not look away from Vanessa. Through the bond, I felt her resolve settle into something unbreakable. Fear was there, yes, but it was wrapped tightly in purpose. “She will not,” I growled, even as my legs threatened to give out again. Vanessa laughed softly. “You are in no position to decide that, Alpha.” She raised the device slightly, her thumb hovering over a recessed switch. “I press this,” she said, “and the bloodbath begins. Or she comes with me, and the transformation pauses.”

Third Person's POV "Oh my goodness, no way! That's fucking hysterical!" Brian said before leaning forward and smacking his knee as he fell into a laughing fit. Tristan laughed along with Brian as Cyrus stood back with Harris and Atticus. The large Beta watched, almost horrified when he realized how similar his best friend and his mate were. It was almost eerie and the Beta shivered before running his hand down his face and walking to the beer cooler. "Oh my God dude, I fucking love you! Jack would have loved you-"

Vanessa’s eyes are wide as she feigns innocence. “I don’t have any idea what you are talking about,” I lie. “It would be a shame if other people in the city found out about it.” She traces her fingers along my collar. “You know how they feel about hybrids.” Grabbing Vanessa’s hand I pull her away from me roughly. “You will mention nothing to anyone about what you have seen.” “But Bussie,” she whines. “What if she is working with the witches?” “She is the key to defeating them you idiot,” I growl at her. “Why do you think that she is my fated mate?”

“Told them who I was. Told them to hang on. Told them their mother is the most stubborn creature to ever walk this earth and I would personally fistfight the Moon if it tried to argue.” Baylee blinked slow, overcome. “Thank you.” He frowned. “For what?” “For staying,” she whispered. “For loving me. For loving them. For still wanting me… like this.” His expression cracked. “Bay—” “No,” she breathed. “Listen. I know I’m different. I feel different. I don’t have the same edge anymore. It’s like something burned out in there and left… something else. I feel softer. Slower. I feel… mortal.”

Gaia was always so willing and eager to please. Bash realized that Gaia was questioning her own reality. Whether these evenings were truly spent in his arms or if they were merely dreams. But Sebastian was reluctant to let her fully realize the truth. Bash was able to scare off past pets with the facts once he’d tired of them. Gaia, he feared, wouldn't be frightened. Gaia, he intuited, would love him as much as he had grown to love her.

I still haven't knocked his head for siding with Vlad before. BaoBao's shoulders jumped then he peeked up at her. Looking at her cold visage looking back down at him, he broke and half-wailed-half-complained to her while flailing his arms about wildly, "Vlad went completely berserk!! He transformed into some monster with godly powers and overwhelmingly ended the world just because it no longer has you!" "Ended the world? What happened to Michael and Angela? THIS is when I need more details BaoBao." She frowned and reprimanded him sternly.

Tristan’s voice at that moment began to echo in my head, “You can run, but I will find you my little Goddess. And when I do, I will take all the lives around you, especially your mate’s.” “NO!” I screamed out, as my body sat straight up, tears pouring down my face, as my heart ached in pain, knowing what Tristan was planning on doing to everyone around me. Bishop, Tonya, and Jaxson would all be dead if I stayed in Beaver Falls, and I couldn’t do that to them.
