I was done reading the novel and Damian isn't here yet. I stood up and put the novel back in its place before walking out of the library. "What the..." I said after seeing the two unfamiliar men again. They were staring at me like I caught them doing something bad. And why are they looking so dusty? "Kayla, you aren't asleep yet," Damian said behind me and I turned. I was surprised he was looking as dusty as the men. "What's going on?" "Yeah..I'm not asleep yet, I was at the library," I said.

I yelled as I was dragged out of the apartment. The next couple of hours were a routine nightmare. I was identified and fingerprinted. The underhanded jokes and looks I received were disgusting and I could barely hide it. I was being accused of targeting wealthy men and seducing them so that I could steal from them later. Just the thought of it made my skin crawl.
