Replaced by His First Love

Replaced by His First Love

Its eyes were twin pits of necrotic purple fire. It didn't growl. It screamed—a sound of a thousand flayed souls. Miller didn't even have time to fire. The bone-white host lunged, its maw closing over his torso. The sound of armor and bone pulverizing together filled the cavern. The host shook him once—a rag doll in a blender—and tossed his broken remains into the dark. “Phase Three!” Thorne’s voice shrieked through a dropped comms unit. “The mountain has accepted the marrow! Harvest the Key!”

After Three Years: She Wakes Up

After Three Years: She Wakes Up

The light was real, I’d seen it. Grabbing the handle, I rattled the door while pounding the flat of my hand against it. “Is anyone there? This is your neighbor, Dr. McKenna…” Still no response. Standing still, I opened my ears to listen. Maybe I could hear if someone was inside. It was so quiet… A twig snapped to the right of me and I turned to see a small fox. He blinked at me once, twice, his fire-bright eyes glaring my way with what looked like a small rodent caught between his teeth. Holding my breath, I watched it run towards the treeline.

My Three-Month-Old Exposed My Wife's Dark Secret

My Three-Month-Old Exposed My Wife's Dark Secret

"Dad, Mr. Palmer didn't take you seriously at all. He's just blowing you off. The underground gas lines are leaking. There's about to be a chain reaction of explosions. Tell everyone to run!" His thoughts broke me into a cold sweat. I immediately yelled at everyone to run for their lives. At first, people looked confused, but then the pungent, biting smell of gas hit the air. On the other end of the line, Colin actually let out a scoff. "Ashton, how much are you paying these extras a day? They're really committing to the bit. Great acting." I didn't have time to argue. I scooped up Enzo and bolted forward.

I’m done reading this book The last few chapters was a repeat chapter and that is so annoying. It’s not the first time or the last time I’m sure I’m over this book I really like it but not enough to just throw money away Good luck to the author but won’t be getting no more of my coins

Before I lost my old phone I had this app. and several books on it including this story. Unfortunately I have started rereading it and I'm a bit disappointed... Same story but somehow it reads like a little kid wrote it... Sorry but it's true.. Please fix the way it's edited and correct the mistake

The Third Year After My Death

The Third Year After My Death

The face was all scratched up, and anything on her body that could prove her identity was taken away, so we suspect it's an intentional murder. Hearing that the body was salvaged from Salakole, Winston paused for a moment, then he put on his sterile gloves with a poker face. I floated in mid-air, staring at the man in front of me. Three years... It had been three years since I died. After I died, my soul was trapped in Salakole, suffering in the fierce wind and freezing weather all day. Until someone found me, they brought me back. But I didn't expect that Winston was the person who would personally dissect me.

The Third Shadow

The Third Shadow

On our wedding night, my wife, who almost never drank, got wasted because she was supposedly too happy. Just when I didn't know what to do, my best friend sent me a long message explaining how to take care of her. I blushed, but I still followed his instructions and soothed her the way he described. Natalie, who had been making a scene, miraculously quieted down. But just as I was about to call my friend and thank him, Natalie suddenly hugged me from behind. Heartbroken, she whispered, "Ashton Hawke, you're the one I wanted to marry." As she said it, the tattoo near her heart slipped into view: a hawk with its wings spread wide. My mind went blank. Ashton Hawke was my best friend of

Her Deadly Revenge

Her Deadly Revenge

The air horn blew for the third time, but it was much further away now. "Oh my God, Thomas." My hands covered my mouth. "Tell me they're not doing what I'm thinking. They couldn't be. Not after Derek." Zombies of all shapes and sizes, in all states of decay, continued pouring out of the trees. This horde was colossal. The color drained from Thomas's face as he watched the multitudes of biters trampling over the terrain below. The air horn blew again, far away this time. "We have to do something." My hands landed on the top of my head, clawing through my hair. What in the hell could they be thinking?

I really got sucked into this book. It was very good. It has nothing to do with wolves, like the blurb above says. It's more like an end of the world type book. Wasn't something I normally read, but I'm glad I did.
Sabrina
The blurb and the title don’t match this book. The story is about a zombie apocalypse, a bunch of strangers that meet and their relationships that develop throughout. I thought the ending was good, but I would love to read a sequel for some much needed closure. Overall, it’s a really good book.
