Oak Tree

Oak Tree

I yelled, clutching my heart as she grinned foolishly, dangling from one of the thick branches of the Oak tree like a monkey. Jos had found her new hobby, and as fascinating as it was at the beginning, it started pissing me off later on, for dangling by the tree was all she did every time. Jos laughed continuously, almost choking on her own laugh before she up righted herself while I clutched my heart to calm it down. "You should have seen your face." I snarled at the monkey. "Very funny. Why didn't you tell me the monkey was only a nose away from me?"

Werewolf: Supernatural Bad Boy III

Werewolf: Supernatural Bad Boy III

It’s a breathtaking sight to behold the endless stretch of trees and the tranquil sway of their leaves. I’m so entranced that I nearly jump out of my skin when the sound of a powerful howl reverberates through the forest. It shakes me to the core. I had never heard a howl that mournful in my life. Frightened, I move back to my room and close the balcony doors. Somehow, the sound of the howl penetrates my defenses. It frightens me and entices me at the same time. The sound is almost wistful that it breaks my heart. Biting my lip, I feel something run down my face and wipe it away. It’s a tear. I don’t know why, but I’m crying. As if lured, I move back to the balcony door in hopes of hearing t

The Third Twin

The Third Twin

If only I could join her there, to brush out those lines in her brow, calm those uneasy utterances. A word emerged out of the murmuring. I wasn’t sure I’d heard right at first, but then a coherent stream issued from her, its content uttered in a voice of lilting wonder . . . while affecting me like a lavishly cold wind. “The trees . . . there are faces in the trees.” *** In the middle of the night I woke to her screams. Unlike the night before, and the night before that, these screams contained words. And the words were horrific. “They want them. They want my babies!”

Three's A Crowd

Three's A Crowd

"Sebastian" froze on stage, a flicker of panic flashing in his eyes before he quickly straightened, his tone righteous. "Emily, what nonsense are you spouting? Who allowed you to attend the wedding?" "I did. Let's see who dares to stop her." Mr. Holt's cane struck the floor with a sharp crack, silencing any further protest. The once lively banquet hall fell into a suffocating hush. I walked up the stage, plugged the USB drive into the projector, and the screen lit up. A familiar conversation echoed through the speakers—Gavin's voice intertwined with Charlotte's.

Curse Of Tethys, Hellblades Series Part 3 of 3

Curse Of Tethys, Hellblades Series Part 3 of 3

Kayhan bellowed into the empty trees, his voice sounding hoarse, broken, and desperate. “Is this what you wanted for me all along? Does my misery amuse you? I swear, I’ll find you and kill you myself, do you hear me?” I narrowed my eyes, confused by the strange name, but what happened next made my skin turn completely pale. Kayhan suddenly collapsed fully to the ground, his body turning rigid as his vision darkened. His eyes rolled back into his head, shifting from their normal color into a pitch black, bottomless abyss. A chilling, rasping laugh rippled from Kayhan’s throat, a terrifying sound dripping with ancient malice that echoed through the silent forest.

I have to say, this is an excellent read, right from the first chapter it just grasps you. I know it isn't comedy but the choice of words just had me giggling. I just know it's about to get intense. If you're wandering whether to read it or not, take it from me, you must! You won't regret it!

I love the dark part of this story. It's touchy and realistic. Even though I just read the first chapter, I felt every meaningful touch and idea the author wanted to pass through. I'm so impressed and I definitely love this. Keep it up, writer.

Too Late to Regret: The Billionaire’s Unwanted Ex

Too Late to Regret: The Billionaire’s Unwanted Ex

The result was a Hybrid Horror. "Look at them," Leo whispered, his indigo glass arm beginning to hum in sympathetic resonance. A nearby birch tree had developed the unmistakable, haughty sneer of Director Sterling, the man who had signed the original Ark eviction notices. The tree’s leaves were no longer green; they were a shimmering, metallic gold, vibrating with the Director’s translated thoughts. “...Finally... the air... the dirt... it belongs to the Shareholders again...” the tree whispered, the sound like dry leaves skittering across stone.

Three Years Too Late

Three Years Too Late

"You animal! Just how much did Jovana pay you to keep this act up? Spit it out now! Where is she?" As he spoke, he picked up a long stick from the ground and used it to whack the homeless man. Blood instantly streamed down the man's face. But still looking indignant, he dragged himself toward the pear tree. Andrew's gaze followed his movement. For some reason, the pear tree felt familiar. He trudged toward the tree, reaching out to touch it. Just then, a voice rang out from the entrance. "I know where Jovana is."
