We all got to work. The drink cart was stocked and we had a tray full of popcorn, chips and cookies. Tom took the tray and Hart took the cart and we all went into the tv room. Our friends were all already there. They cheered when the saw the food and drinks. "We thought you all might be hungry" Eve said as we walked in behind Tom and Hart. We had our arms around each other. When our friends saw us, they stared.

She fought to stay awake, but her head began to nod forward, her grip on the popcorn bowl loosening. I smiled, and carefully took the bowl from her hands. Then, I reached for a handful of popcorn, but as soon as the kernels touched my tongue, I knew something was off. The taste was bitter and unpleasantly burnt. I coughed, trying to discreetly spit out the offending piece. It was then that I realized why Tania had been hesitant to share - the popcorn was burnt. I felt a pang of amusement and appreciation for her consideration. Without a word, I set the bowl aside and gently guided her head onto my shoulder.

She stopped when I asked her to. When we stood in line to buy snacks for the movie, Alec raced to the other counter, dodging through people and bought a large bucket of popcorn and he presented it to Blue like an Oscars trophy.
