Claimed by My Vampire Stepbrother

Then she looked directly at me, her eyes sharp, intelligent in that way that always felt a little too knowing for someone our age. Oh wait…she wasn’t our age. “No, Chase. There’s nothing that can actually repel a vampire. Not really. It doesn’t work like that.” Lucia shook her head gently. “You can’t repel them because it’s not about repelling. Vampires are naturally drawn to humans as prey, Chase. There’s no real way to ‘repel’ them. The drink helps with compulsion, maybe steadying your nerves, but it’s not a shield, it is not really going to guide you or chase them away from you, it can only cool your nerves maybe after it has been tampered by a vampire. And if you’re thinking about garlic

Vampire High

Vampire High

She said so I frowned. "The entire Vampire High student will be divided into groups. Whichever race you are, you will be there. All Pure Vampires will come together, all Half Vampires and Half witches will come together. If they come together the races will be paired and separated from the others. "she says. "Why?" I asked. "Because there will be a Game as a celebration of the 29768th year of Vampire high. So you are lucky because you can participate in that game." She said.

Blue Blood in My Veins

I was hiding in the car trunk of my boyfriend, Chase McGregor, while grabbing my pregnancy report in one hand. In the other hand, I held a limited-edition watch I had specifically prepared for him. I wanted to surprise him with my pregnancy. "Chase, you wouldn't actually marry Daphne, would you? "What can she offer you? Love? Loyalty? These are worth nothing in our world. "Lucille Gervais wants to marry you. Her family is in charge of the entire North Sea. Once you marry her, you'll gain control of all the shipping routes, cargo operations, and drug trade on the North Sea.

His Prophesied Luna

His Prophesied Luna

It is key to note that the made wolves and humans were modeled after the birthed wolves and humans; the Truebloods. The Truebloods were born off the moon goddess, made of the same material that she was, powerful residues of her powers were deposited in them, making them overall better and more powerful than the made ones. The tainted bloods. Now, when the true blood humans bonded with the true blood wolves, it was realized that they wielded extra powers. The first five wielded the powers of nature; air, water, fire, earth, and, the first born wielded the power of life and death, she could make just as much she could destroy; a Demi god.

There were other unrecognizable faces too, and some artworks on the walls. "Want to watch something?" Dustin asked as he got back to his feet. I nodded. "Which show do you want?" He turned on the TV, bringing up the N*****x channel. "Vampire Diaries" He quirked a brow at my choice. I shrugged. "It is fun watching how humans sees us, and their imagination of other supernaturals existence." "Have you seen it?" He shook his head.

The Vampire's First Love

The Vampire's First Love

Something she could only imagine existed in books and movies. A pair of red eyes and two long fangs that stuck out of the mouth as though they were always meant to be there. Except there was no blood dripping from his mouth as always described in books. Yet, she was still scared senseless at the sight of a living, vampire right in front of her eyes. He moved closer to her again but this time, she was prepared and understood what he was. She lunged on her feet in fright and prepared to flee. But she had barely moved two steps when that figure appeared in front of her again.

he breathed. “I know,” Darian said, raking a hand through his hair. It had grown out a lot since their trip. It wasn't just shaggy anymore, it fell slightly past his shoulders in a messy bad-boy style that suited him more than Bella would have liked to admit. “What did I say that's so disturbing?” Bella asked, refocusing. It was alarming how easily she could get distracted by superficial concerns now when there were real problems to solve. “You just described the way hunter blood supposedly smells to vampires,” said Darian. “All other creatures have an individual scent that identifies them to vampires, even humans. Hunters all smell like the sun, or at least that's the way their prey tell it

Love To Hate My Stepbrother

Love To Hate My Stepbrother

Halfway through the movie and its purpose of distracting me actually starts working. I will never tell Celestine this, but the vampire diaries is actually a very enticing series. It may even be one of my favorites. At first, I had started watching it because I wanted to see what was so special about it that had Celestine hooked. But after the first season, the cliffhanger and suspense had kept me going until I had finished all eight of them. It's a secret I'm going to take to my grave because I know Celestine will never let me hear the end of it if she happens to find out.

Darius said as he pulled up his sleeve while his fella that he met in the woods last night made out of the house with Lynette. “I want to borrow her for an hour. She would remain unscathed.” “What are you up to?” Aiden squinted at him as he got up with speed his jaw tightened and he clasped his fist. “It will come as a surprise,” Darius smirked before he tried to speed away, but Aiden pulled him back. “I just discovered that we became vampires the same day so you're not older or stronger. It's a matter of skills and I think I'm better.” He pulled him closer, fisting him on his stomach and bashing against his jaw. The strength behind his punch lifted Aiden three meters above the floor before

A truly intriguing story, told with care. Each chapter leaves me wanting to read more and there's so much to love about each character. I have to say I'm team Colby, Aiden and Darius though. A fantastic world too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Okay, I'll be that person who maybe disagrees with the premise a bit. Vampire fiction is so oversaturated that it’s genuinely hard to stand out, and a lot of the 'True Blood' adjacent novels from that era now feel kind of same-y. They were part of that post-'Twilight', pre-'romantasy' boom where every paranormal romance had a sassy human woman and a brooding immortal. What made the Southern Vampire Mysteries (the books 'True Blood' was based on) work for me wasn't the vampires themselves—it was the setting and the sheer kitchen-sink chaos of the world.

Sookie Stackhouse's Louisiana felt sticky and real, full of mundane details like bad tips at the bar and family drama right alongside werepanthers and fairies. The vampire politics were less about gothic romance and more like a supernatural mafia, which created this weirdly practical tension. The vampire character Bill is honestly kind of a wet blanket; Eric Northman, the Viking sheriff, always stole the show because he was unpredictable and amoral in a fun way. The series didn't take itself too seriously, and that made the darker moments hit harder because you weren't braced for them.

That tonal mix is probably its legacy, but I don't know if many recent books capture that specific, messy charm. Most paranormal now leans either fully into dark, spicy romance or hard-boiled urban fantasy. The cozy-but-gory small-town vibe with a heroine who just wants a normal life feels like a particular early 2000s artifact.
