The Forbidden Truth

The Forbidden Truth

"How can you be sure that she is okay? How did you know that she can handle it? Everything you've said were all lies. Explain properly. The truth... I don't care whether it's confidential or not. Explain it." The hunters, the people from the Monitoring Department, Mr. Ambrose, and President Carlton were all silent for a minute. The Organization President closed his eyes for a brief moment before opening them again and he sighed. He knew that he had no choice, but to tell them the truth, especially when Hunter Max was in this state. President Carlton knew that things would be bad if he continued to lie, he saw Hunter Max in this state in the past. It was when he lost the woman he loved.

I really liked this book. Too bad it ends after 36 chapters and hasn't been added to in a couple of weeks. If y'all want people to pay to read your books, at least write something. This is the second book, this has happened with. I think I'm done with good novel.

Great story!! refreshing to read something different then other books on good novel. loved the complexity of the worlds and characters. would have been nice to have it a bit longer, and more lucas scenes, but still greatly enjoyed it. looking forward to the next book!

Until The Truth Burns

Until The Truth Burns

“Explain.” Not what happened. Not why. Just — Explain. “I was cleaning,” I said, “the papers were everywhere, and I noticed the numbers were suspicious.” “You read confidential financial documents.” “You left them out like a buffet,” I shot back. “I have eyes.” His jaw ticked. Abort, Tanya. But my mouth was suicidal today. “And if your staff weren’t so scared of you, maybe they’d tell you things instead of pretending everything is perfect.” He inhaled sharply — irritation level: advanced.

Shattered Vows

Shattered Vows

Just the truth. Raw and unfiltered. My heart hammered against my ribs, the air tightening between us. “You can’t,” I whispered. “I know.” “You shouldn’t.” “I know.” “I’m married to your brother.” His jaw clenched. “But not by choice.” “That doesn’t change anything.” “I know.” His voice cracked. “But the truth doesn’t change either.” “And what truth is that?” “That night…” He swallowed hard. “I’ve never been able to forget it.” My lungs squeezed painfully.

Waiting for Something That Never Came

Waiting for Something That Never Came

No matter how hurtful the truth was, he still had to tell her. He took a deep breath and started, "That day—" Ivory sneered and cut him off. "Are you going to tell me that you're the one who gave the order to have me whipped a hundred times in the private room at the jewelry exhibition?" Wilson staggered back. Then, he smiled self-deprecatingly. "So… you already know the truth." "Ha! I'm not a fool. Those hundred lashes were what thoroughly killed my love for you. As each lash landed, I told myself you were unworthy of my love and devotion!" she snapped.

What the Screen Never Knew

What the Screen Never Knew

I suppressed the strange flutter in my chest, shuffled over to him, and spoke carefully. “Elias… I want to move out.” His movements paused. For a long time, he did not say anything. Maybe it was my imagination. It felt like the force in his hands grew stronger as he scrubbed. “Were you not scared of living alone? Is this because of…” Elias never lifted his head. His voice sounded rough and strained. He never finished the sentence. I did not dare admit that I had lied to him before, so I only mumbled softly, “I can learn to get over it slowly.”

The One He Never Claimed.

The One He Never Claimed.

I can feel the weight being lifted off as I tell her the truth. Her face shows the shocked expression again before it goes back to being soft again. "Yea. Years" I say answering her question. "He was great for a while, before the fame." I continue. I can still see that my revelation shocks her even though she tries really hard to hide it. "I guess the rest doesn't really matter. But I want you to know how sorry I am Liz." I then say as she nods her head in understanding.

IF I NEVER LOVED YOU

IF I NEVER LOVED YOU

There was brief moment of silence then he replied; "Oh, okay, thank you for informing us. I will drop by tomorrow to complete the formalities!" He had not disclosed the news to me but somehow I knew what it was all about because, i got a sudden fear strike my heartvin most frightening manner, a fear i have never feIt nor known. I got up and stood there shocked, in tears and disbelief. My weakly trembling legs failed to support my body. I was struggling to breath as I tried my best to comprehend his words. He had uttered them, stressing each words slowly without emotion. They felt surreal; as if this all wasn't happening and I had just hallucinated it all. I paced back leaning on th

The Ugly Truth

The Ugly Truth

Although I understood that Amy wasn't really keen on having ice cream, I still bought ice cream for her. I arrived right when the nurse announced the time of her death. Upon hearing the bad news, I slid down the wall to the floor outside the door, as I blankly nibbled on the ice cream. When Amy was three years old, I lied about getting her an ice cream and subsequently dumped her. When she was 20 years old, she made me get an ice cream for her while she left me behind. … (Kevin's Story) My neighbor—the girl in a ponytail and a bright smile—had reunited with her wealthy parents. The last time we met was at the moment she opened the door of a Mercedes-Benz.

The Wolf's Call (Book 1)

The Wolf's Call (Book 1)

"You say that, Zeke says that...like I'm some child that'll break apart when the truth is revealed." "You think you're not? Not all truths can be revealed in the blink of an eye. You need to be weaned into it, and even so, it's still not guaranteed if you'll be able to handle it or not." "That's for me to decide!" my voice cracks, echoing in the quiet campus yard. A curtain shifts in one of the dorm windows, and I lower my voice. "Tell me the truth for once. What did he do to me?" There's a pause and I fear the voice has retreated, but then: "Nothing you didn't already crave."
