Love At Sea

Love At Sea

The cover of the third book was a silent declaration of victory. Where the previous ones had carried dark and uncertain tones, this one displayed a watercolor in golds and deep blues—colors that evoked sunrises over the ocean, promises kept, and horizons that had finally revealed themselves within reach. The title, engraved in handwritten letters like an intimate confession, was simple and revolutionary: “To Live.”

Her Eyes of Emerald and Fire

Her Eyes of Emerald and Fire

Ash chuckles, “It’s okay, we managed.” She nods, “Could I have the book to look at while we wait for Serena?” Kai nods and gets up to grab it. They had re-wrapped it in the silk scarf that Benny had given it to her in. She lets Kai unwrap it and place it on her lap. The book is clearly ancient, but the leather of the cover is in remarkable condition. But then it had been stored in a dragon’s hoard for years. The cover had an embossed phoenix on it, and a few gems in gold settings to highlight some details.

“What colour do you want to start with?” “At least let me get dressed for this.” Seeing he’s pretending to not hear a word I say, I sigh. “White.” He hands me the white bag. It’s heavier than expected. When I peek inside, something catches in my throat. No way. I reach in and slowly pull out a hardcover novel — the limited edition. Bonus chapters. Character art. Gilded edges. The kind of cover you touch like it’s holy. It only released last month and costs more than my dignity. I’ve had it bookmarked in every browser tab like a prayer.

, then the cover reads: “Catastrophic Prophecies” - What's up? – Gary asks. - Let Mark and Kevin get back. Then you wake up Lucifron. Alexander really found what we were looking for. - On the little mermaid book? - No. in this one. – Ryan takes off the paper cover of the book and shows Gary the real cover. - How did that happen? - It couldn't have been by accident. For this book with this cover to be in children's books, it couldn't have been an accident.

“unlucky contestants…shelf two, book thirteen.” It sounded oddly like a personal note. My curiosity won out and I skimmed my fingers along the spines of the books until I chose one at random. I pulled out a medium-sized book, a deep shade of navy blue. Earthen twine was wrapped around the book, and there was a picture on the front. A middle-aged man with chocolate hair and dark eyes smiled up at me. The cover of the book read, “Arthur Zimmerman, Game 71.

Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

Under the Cover of Darkness

Under the Cover of Darkness

Just as I decided to go home and sulk over a bottle of whisky the moonlight caught something silvery on the sand which in turn caught my attention. I turned on my phone torch and bent to examine whatever it was. Sand covered most of it probably when Butterfly drove off so I had to dig it out. When I did I saw it was a decorated gold-and-black card probably the size of an ID that was an invitation to the opening of a club called Ecstasy!. I recognized it immediately because — Christ, what was her name again? — well, my newest conquest was ranting and raving about it before she started ranting and raving about me.

she said, handing it to Sally. Sally found it hard to mask her disappointment. “Oh,” was all she could say looking at the battered green cover. It had an old woodcut on the front, showing a hare by a riverside, looking up at a smiling moon. The title, printed in crude block letters, was Highways, Havens and Highlands by James Hendry.

Wolf Kisses

Wolf Kisses

As gorgeous as it all was, Elaina found herself going farther, to the end of the room, to a section of books that looked terribly old and for some odd reason appeared the most interesting. There were leather chairs in this part of the room as well, single high-backed ones the color of rich caramel. Reaching out, she let her fingers brush lightly over the tattered spines of a couple books, stopping as if by no control of her own on one. The name TREKAS was printed in letters so worn she could barely see them all. Elaina pulled that one from the shelf without a moment’s hesitation. Before opening it, as if knowing already that this was going to take some time, she’d backed up until she sank in

Tangled Truths

Tangled Truths

Lucas moves to his desk—Italian hardwood, custom-built, impenetrable as the armor he's wrapped around himself—and opens the bottom drawer with deliberate slowness. Inside is a copy of her book. The Tangled Truth. Dog-eared. Marked. Memorized. The cover creased from countless readings, spine weakened from being opened to the same passages night after night. Her words, her voice, her mind—captured in ink while she herself remained a ghost. He picks it up, runs his thumb over the spine, and breathes deeply, inhaling the faint scent of paper and binding glue as if it might somehow contain molecules of her essence.
