Thankfully, just as I reached the peak of my confusion, Dr Quinn entered the private ward. “Twenty Twenty-two?” Was the first thing that left my lips as I turned my phone to her as if to back up my claim. “How is this possible? How did I end up here two years later?” I didn't even realize my tears had begun to stream down my cheeks.

My two pups are still underage and I won’t allow Masuzyo to hurt them to get to me. “Is there something I can find for you?” she asks. “No, thank you, just point me in the right direction.” She does and I go to the records room, going back two years. I think back, trying to remember the exact day. It was late fall. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground. October. I find the right year, then the right month. Before I find the file, I get a mind link from Atticus. ‘Luca, it’s her. The others are telling Alpha Masuzyo now,’ he tells me in the mind link.

Something in her awoke but she couldn't say what it was. Kane only stood frozen on his spot. His body was tense upon locking eyes with Madeline. He eyed her from head to toe and still couldn't believe he was meeting her again after six long years. It didn't look real at all and Kane thought of it as a dream. He saw Madeline hadn't changed in her physical appearance. Her face did mature a little but nothing about her appearance had changed.

For some unknown reason, Sherly suddenly remembered the conversation she and Solace had when they were little. As Sherly delicately adjusted the veil, she couldn't help but reminisce about her childhood dreams of the perfect wedding. The two of them talked about how Sherly and Solace lost hope. She thought about what the last twenty years had been. Not what she had planned. Better than what she had planned in the ways that couldn't be planned and harder than what she had planned in the ways that turned out to be necessary. All of it necessary.

It was a whole disaster! But turns out, it was a beautiful disaster that brought us together in the first place and I never regretted every little moment of it. Especially when being with him is starting to me feel whole again and being this happy, is a true dream come true for me. ~The End~ Honestly guys, this is like the only book I've wrote so far that only comes up at about twenty something chapters. But I'm glad Jake's story is done which also means that book two of the royal mafia series is completed.
