A Heart Misfired
Julian stood up, his expression turning icy, but I grabbed his hand.
"I'll go with you.
"Jasmine, you don't have to see him."
"If I don't see him now, he'll just keep coming back," I said.
He had no choice but to go with me.
We stepped out of the residence together.
It was evening again.
Edward stood under the fading glow of the sunset, calling my name with urgency.
"Jasmine, you can't marry him!"
I stood beside Julian, pressing down the anger in his palm.
"Edward, because the engagement was so sudden, my eighteenth birthday celebration will be held a few days later. So even if you forgot my birthday, I won't blame you.
