MEREDITH'S POV "I didn't mean to. I got lost and was just trying to navigate my way back to the dining hall," I hissed, as his fingers pinched at my flesh. "What did you see? Better yet, what did you hear?" He demanded answers. I swallowed, blinking back the tears in my eyes. That scene from Twilight flashed inside my head when Laurent caught Bella alone walking in the woods and an apparition of Edward appeared before her eyes, warning her of danger.

The man who had just left Twilight to die in the woods seemed trapped in his own thoughts the moment he learned of her identity. The expressions on his face changed from careless to stunned, and then shocked. Kane had never seen his alpha have so many expressions within a few seconds before. To say he was frightened would be a misunderstanding. He had already realised that there was no way Edge was going to let him go easily this time. Suddenly Twilight’s faint, fierce voice echoed through the woods, “Remember, Alpha Edgar- it's me who rejected you! I will be waiting for those annulment papers!” With trembling fists, Edge turned around to look into nothingness where Twilight had disappeared.

These times were surely good. "I'm so going to make you pay for this!" He growled "Maybe you should pay more attention to Carlos than I," I muttered, turning my gaze towards Carlos, who had his mouth next to Becca, making her giggle at something he said. I swear that Caleb's face practically turned red and steam emitted from all of the holes in his face. If I didn't know better, I would think he came from a long lineage of dinosaurs. The look on Edwina's face was priceless, too; I could imagine if she had a wolf. She would have torn my ears down by now. The bed was creaking under the force of their movements. Edward’s vision blurred with betrayal. He grabbed the man who had taken his girlfriend and they both fell to the floor. He pinned him down and rained blows on his face. The man was too stunned to fight back. “YOU BASTARD!” Edward roared, his voice filled with rage. In his emotional state, he hadn't even registered who the man in front of him was. “Oh, my God! Edward! Stop!” Alice pleaded, unable to even put on clothes, just pulling a blanket over herself in the unexpected chaos.

I grabbed his arm and twisted it hard. “Did you just raise your hand at me?” I said. “We are done. I reject you, Harrison Taylor.” A horrible pain tore through my chest as the bond snapped, but I refused to let it show. I bit my tongue to keep from crying out. Harrison wasn’t able to hide it. His face twisted in agony as he felt it too. Before I could react, he shoved me, slamming me against the wall. “You are mine, whether you like it or not, Bella,” he growled, raising his hand again.
