The day I died was the same day as my twin sister’s birthday party. She was in tears and was wrapped up in my boyfriend’s arms. My mom was seething with anger and kept calling me over and over again. My brother was clearly upset and sent me a text saying, "You’re so selfish. You just can’t stand to see anyone else happy." Even my usually quiet dad was furious and said, "She’s nothing but an ungrateful brat." I touched my chest. Thankfully, it did not hurt anymore.

Clement pointed to the envelope. Trist looked at the envelope before picking it up; open and read. According to the letter, Frankly announced that the twins, Simon and Samuel, both died on consecutive days. Samuel killed Simon just because Samuel murdered his twin’s girlfriend last year. So there was a dispute between the siblings. Samuel then died, two people were killed here from tourists vacationing in its territory. The letter also contained information on the two men who killed Samuel.

As Jake sprinted along the shoreline, his eyes scanned the surroundings, desperately searching for any sign of Cherry and Ixora. To his dismay, they were nowhere to be found in their usual spots. Drawing closer to the beach, he was met with a sight that left him dumbfounded. From his vantage point, he struggled to distinguish between the two identical twins. Both of them were drenched, water streaming down their bodies. One lay motionless on the ground while the other frantically performed chest compressions and wept... that must be Ixora.

I instictually looked at the monitor. "Well would you look at that," he said. Mine and Jason's jaw's dropped. "Twins?" he asked. "Yup," replied the doctor. "But that never happens," I said. "No it does. It's rare and they usually don't survive past the first few days, but it happens,"

While Abe and Aegeus looked miserable, their states were better than the others around them. Jake and John, the ones known as the Hydra Twins, were together as always. It was no different today. In fact, they shared the same woe. The two were unconscious on the ground, their bodies revealing no signs of injuries; however, their pale faces suggested that they had received their fair share of pain.

The afternoon sunlight casts a warm glow on the building as the twins inspect it curiously. “Where is this?” is Emile's sulking response, but I can see the glimmer of excitement she has been trying to hide in her baby blue eyes since I told her we are leaving the house.

His chest heaved, but no sound came out. “I’m sorry,” the doctor said quietly. “But there is one still alive. For now.”

I said, seething with anger at the sight. The twins were brought into an abandoned building. I checked my watch. “It’s already dawn,” I whispered. “I need to move now if I want to rescue them early,” I added to myself. As I carefully approached the enemy's direction, my phone suddenly lit up. It was Dave. I immediately declined the call and turned off my phone to avoid drawing attention. I then overheard the men talking about the twins. “Poor kids. They’re going to be the first to test whether the drugs work,” one of the men said.
