My chest felt tight as I spoke, emotions piling up faster than I could process them. The headache was still there, relentless, but now it was mixed with frustration and a deep, aching tiredness that made my limbs feel heavy. How many times do I have to tell you? You are not her!” I retorted, “You can’t tell me who I am. I am whoever I want to be.” The argument tortured every cell in my brain. Then I yelled, “I won’t let you control me like my mom!” I grabbed something and slammed it on the desk.

I could hear two male voices close enough to tell that they were arguing but far enough to make out the details of what they were talking about. I could tell that one of the voices belonged to Ludovic. I could hear the frustration in his voice as he spoke to the other person in the room. "Be reasonable, man." I wondered if the driver had arrived to fetch us. I didn't hear anything from the second d person but only an animalistic growl. I shifted to open my eyes. The pain in my head was so unbelievable that I groaned and everything became still again.
