Makna dari Sumando Lapiak Buruak adalah suami yang lebih suka menghabiskan waktu di rumah, berleha-leha dengan anak bini. Lelaki yang malas bekerja mencari nafkah demi menghidupi keluarganya.Tersebutlah Syamil Wafiq, nama lelaki itu. Keberadaannya di rumah sang istri tidak begitu dianggap. Dia cenderung tertutup, dan tidak bisa bergaul dengan orang-orang.Hal itu membuat Shanum Diya-istrinya-merasa bak makan buah simalakama.
