Mia followed the instructions and took a launching stance. To her shock though, Uma appeared beside her and stroked her legs with such force that she was forced into the ground. Mia screamed in pain, but Uma had no change of emotions. " Get up and form a better stance." Mia got up and took a proper one as instructed by the academy. Uma once again appeared beside her, held her shoulders, and forcefully pushed it down. She stopped once Mia was lower than earlier.

ELIAS'S POV The applause faded. The auditorium settled into tense silence. Everyone waiting to see what happened next. Then someone in the middle section stood up. A student I didn't know. Alpha. Third year maybe. "This is wrong," he said loudly. "Omegas don't belong here. They're weak. Unstable. Can't handle the pressure. The Academy should be Alpha only." Murmurs of agreement from some students. Others immediately shouting disagreement. "They proved they can handle it!" someone yelled back. "Did you not hear anything they just said?"

Too late, though!” Alex moved swiftly and came straight to the top of the umbrella as he punched downward. As the oil paper umbrella was attacked. It let out another painful scream and dropped to the ground. Alex landed and picked it up. His eyes lit up as he nodded in approval. “This is a pretty good umbrella. Too bad its potential was wasted in your hands. You can’t bring out the best of it with your abilities.” With that, he tossed the oil-paper umbrella to Maya.

“Leave it to me.” While the others distracted the serpent, Isla summoned a stream of icy water, dousing the creature’s flames. The serpent hissed, its movements slowing as its body began to harden into stone. On beat of the song, Aira, Chester, Creon and Damon started to merge their energies into each other before merging into each other’s bodies.

I turn around after pushing the button. Looking out the window, I see whole sections of the academy's outer courtyard opening and tall white towers coming from the ground. A spark starts at one tower before jumping to the next and then to the next. In only a few seconds, thousands of sparks jump from tower to tower, circling the academy. A few seconds later, beams of light shoot up from the towers and meet in the sky. They all collide before quickly falling back down and covering the whole academy. "The shield is up," I say. "Yellow Sun Academy is safe."

“I’m from the Moonshadow Pack.” “Moonshadow Pack? I’d heard of them. Why are you here?” “I ran away,” Anne explained. “I’m working as a servant at Umbra Academy now. It’s… complicated.” My suspicion lingered, but I was too weak to resist. “Umbra Academy?” Anne nodded. “It’s a place for the elite. Killers and witches, shifters. They teach you how to survive, how to lead. It’s not a kind place, but it’s powerful.”
