Blake called, blowing her a playful kiss. Gabriella shook her head with a smile as she walked away. For a first day at university, things were going surprisingly well. Once she disappeared into the crowd, Amanda dropped into her chair with a heavy sigh. “Can you believe it?” Blake said excitedly. “Our first recruit this year!” “I’m tired, Blake,” Amanda muttered. “Well, at least we have Ella. She’s cute. I think Xander is going to like her.” Amanda rolled her eyes, muttering something under her breath.

Finding no words, I rubbed Roy's head, making it to smile broadly. The bird's view of this academy was just awesomazing! My eyes couldn't even reach the boundary of the academy. This was definitely a city inside a city. It should have been named Academy City, in my own opinion. It was little wonder why the main city was so populated. By the third day, the academy had split. Some students whispered I was reckless, dangerous, too wild to ever lead. They pointed at the bruises on Elias’s jaw, at the chains still healing around my wrists, at the fire, at Lena’s broken body. Others whispered differently. They whispered about the fire glowing on our skin, the bond pulsing in the chamber, the way I’d carried her through smoke and blood. “The goddess chose her.” “She’s his mate. Professors snapped at students, guards broke up scuffles.

I crumbled down to the floor crying badly, what sort of life is this anyways? The rain was raining quite heavily, I cuddled my knees shivering from the cold. Dad must be worried by now.
