My hands gripped the wheel so tightly the leather creaked. “Hang on, Hazel,” I muttered. “I’m coming.” The bus station was chaotic when I arrived. I pushed through the crowd, ignoring the stares. Jaden’s team had already secured the area. A young guard handed me a tablet showing the security feed. There she was — Hazel, in a loose hoodie and jeans, carrying a small bag. She looked exhausted. Scared. She kept one hand on her belly the entire time as she boarded the bus. My heart twisted.

She thought. Why does Caden keep doing things that makes my heart flutter? Is he trying to make me fall in love with him? That night, Hazel kept tossing and turning on her bed, unable to sleep. Two people were on her mind: Yuka and Caden. The urge to see Yuka was almost overwhelming and she tried not to give into it, but it was useless anyway. She was rebellious by nature. She got dressed in a fitting pair of brown trousers, a pair of brown boots, a black long sleeved shirt and a black cape. Then, she took her small dagger with her, just in case the need to defend herself arose. Nevertheless, she didn't believe Yuka would hurt her.

Before I could respond, Mabel’s eyes shut, and she came crashing down. I grabbed her at once before she hit the ground. Hazel stepped out of the car immediately, wearing the uniform the servants at the alpha’s house wore. “I am not even about to ask you what happened,” I said to her, and she chuckled. “Had to kick ass to get away, and I did pretty good.” I dipped my hand in my pocket, pulling out the strand of hair I had gotten from Sue while Hazel was trying to gloat. “That was pretty fast, but thank goodness. I can start the spell,” she said, and I handed it to her.

Ember lightly tapped Avery's head, reprimanding him in a playful tone, "Hazel is a student of mine. She's here to rest and get better, so she'll be staying with us. You must take good care of her, okay?" Avery blinked his eyes and nodded enthusiastically. "Awesome! I've been bored, and now I have a playmate!" He enthusiastically took Hazel's hand and showed her all of his favorite toys. "Hazel, pick whatever you want. You don't have to worry about anyone bullying you with me around." Ember smiled with relief as she watched the children begin to bond. Having Hazel at home, where she could recuperate, was indeed a comforting thought. Hazel said, her voice quiet but determined. “Good,” I said. “Keep at it. You’ll get better with time.” *** Hazel’s POV The next day, I went back to the hut to practice with Mara the healer but when I entered, I saw three girls around my age talking to each other. “And who are you?” One of them who had blonde hair and blue eyes stared at me with disgust. She looked like those blonde girls one would see on television modeling for big companies. “I’m Hazel,” I smiled at them.

Liam knew better than to argue, so he wrapped his arms over our shoulders and accepted our help. But as we walked away from the crowd at the door and across the auction floor, I couldn’t help but glance back up at the broken window above.

I said. "I just received a picture of a girl with hazel eyes and brown hair from Kevin boss. Is that the girl? " He ask. I look at the Kevin, he send me an assuring smile acknowledging that he indeed sent that picture. But he continuously tap his left leg on the ground indicating that he was anxious. Angel was in mansion with Elijah. He is worried. I motion him to enter the car and asked our best driver to drive. These people are trained for this purpose only.

But Hazel was their friend, and they knew how hard she worked in order to get Hanz’s attention. Hazel Trent was the class monitor of Class One. In the school, she ranked third, just behind Yan Bouchard. Also, even if she belonged to one of the richest families in Altair as well, she behaved like a scholar student. She wore the school uniform properly, and acted as a good leader. Since Year One, she had fallen for Hanz Jensen, but the boy never paid her attention, which was okay. After all, Hanz Jensen paid attention to no one.

It was never hard for him to get information, and that was what I was counting on. Riven would go after her, and I knew Keira; she would spill everything to save her neck.
