Sera glanced past her, down the corridor toward the classroom she was supposed to be in, and then back at the two girls hovering just behind Cassia's shoulder, silent, watchful, clearly there to witness whatever happened here rather than to speak. She didn't like it. But she'd learned enough in three days at Ember Academy to know that refusing outright, here, in front of an audience, might cost her more than five late minutes ever would.
"Fine. Five minutes."
