Cat's last email replayed over and over in my mind like a sinister song, highlighting the shadows in Lachlan's past that seemed to loom over me. Then, I saw it: a grand oak tree, its gnarled branches stretching skyward, beckoning me closer. I didn't understand what it was doing here on a desert island. And more than that, how did Cat tell me to meet her at an oak tree just yesterday and here was an oak tree. What the fuck was this?

"I have my eyes on you" I scoffed. What is it with this witch? Her eyes on me? I can't believe her gut. But then again, what does Jo's mean. "I know what happens beneath The Oak." The compound was popularly known as The Oak. We have the Lady of the oak who was Sumaya, as well as the princes of the Oak. The servants and the slaves of the Oak who were also known as the Oak's commodity. But how could anyone claim to know what happens beneath The Oak? It sounds absurd. Especially the fact that their couldn't be anything beneath the plantation or the numerous chambers.

How many times had they put themselves in danger while I was too focused on war plans and elder meetings to notice? I stayed far enough back that they wouldn't hear me. Close enough to intervene if something went wrong. The trees grew thicker. The light grew dimmer. Shadows stretched long and dark across the forest floor. Still, the children kept running. Finally, they stopped. A massive oak tree loomed ahead. Ancient and gnarled. Its roots twisted up from the ground like frozen snakes. Its branches spread wide, blocking out what little remained of the evening sky. Carl and Karin dropped to their knees beneath it.

I turned left, and there on the ground was a tiny old book that described the path the old woman had told me about. Quickly, I began to trace it, following the book's guidelines. I had walked a little farther, my feet aching and my body growing more exhausted, when I finally saw it—the Whispering Oak standing tall, its bark twisted into faces, whispering softly as though alive. And there it was—the veil. I pressed it, and it opened slowly, creaking like ancient wood. Before long, I was inside the oak tree. The wind had stopped blowing. Everything was suffocating—dark and scary.

After what felt like an eternity, Saul suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned to face Silas. "We're getting close," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "The book should be just ahead." Silas felt a rush of excitement and nervousness wash over him. Even though the stories he heard of the book of spells and its immense power was just a day old, it still gave him goose bumps when he had never seen it for himself. The idea that it was so close was both exhilarating and terrifying. They continued on, pushing their way through the thick underbrush until they reached a small clearing. In the center of the clearing stood an old, gnarled tree, its bark twisted and gnarled.

Alpha Ros walked towards Orlan and passed by him, as Orlan didn't show regards to him and vice versa. Alpha Ros came to check on me and Orlan left the place. After some couple of days, the time for the exam came very near. I was under a oak tree, at the backyard. The breeze under the tree was very favourable and mild. I was flipping the pages slowly as I grasp enough from them. All I was doing was mere rereading, I had read more than enough, that would be very helpful for me.

I climb off her back and thank her for giving me a ride here. “Are you staying?” I ask but she is already on her way back to the castle. That’s strange, why was she in a rush? Turning I see an enormous tree. It looked to be an old weeping cherry tree in full bloom with its pink spring flowers. The moon illuminated the bright colors and magical fireflies flew all about. There looked to be lighting coming from the center where the trunk of the tree should be. I stepped forward and moved a flower branch to the side so I could walk under the tree. I continued until I found the tree trunk. Lanterns were carefully placed all around underneath the weeping canopy. It’s simply breathtaking. I was so

Kate said softly, but my eyes were only in the direction Robin had exited from, he was acting odd, too odd and it was scary. I shook my head gently. Was I to brace myself for what was going to come next, have I tamed the beast? Or have it grown silent to roar when it was time? A shiver ran down my spine, I had to brace myself for what would come next.

Suddenly, Hayley saw a red oak tree appearing from a distance. “That's a red oak.” “I thought you left.” “I gave a thought to your proposal.” Hayley let out. “Are you sure you want to do this? Once you begin they will be no going back.” The old woman said with feverish eyes. “Why did you choose me in the first place? Do I look like a coward?” Hayley asked. “Your father was imprisoned inside that tree in your school. I can help you get him back.” The old woman asserted, she stepped toward the oak tree and placed her palms on it. Saying a spell, the tree glowed, and a book appeared in her hands.
