The violet smoke cleared, leaving the First Draft looking like a ruined, ink-stained relic. The glass was cracked, the "Prognostic Registry" now a collection of beautiful, unreadable shards.
"You’ve freed us," Damian said, walking over to the pedestal. He picked up a shard of the glass, now permanently stained with Vance Indigo. "Or you’ve orphaned us. We’re officially off the script."
