Robert replied. The high beams cut through the dust on the road. Kat could see the drive was lined with thick trees. “It is going to be impossible to find Jude in here if he wonders off.” She glanced worried at Robert and back at the barbequed covered boy. “Don’t worry babe. There’s a gate around the property itself.” He rubbed her shoulder. “Well this isn’t creepy or anything.” Ray snarked. “Its only creepy because its dark RayRay. Things always look different in the dark. It’s just new, new always feels uncertain, until it’s not new anymore.” Kat smiled back at Ray through the rear view.

“What do you mean?” As soon as he finished speaking, we heard the sound of police sirens. The sirens got louder and closer. Xylo began to panic. I showed him the video of him using human blood to water the tree. He stared in disbelief but still would not let go of the tree. He clung to it tightly. He suddenly thought of an excuse and tried to explain himself. “That’s not human blood. It’s chicken blood.” Seeing things getting worse, he softened and begged, “Olivia, please, don’t demolish it. Locust is here. Don’t cut her down!”

But I just shrug it off. “Daddy, what’s that huge tree?” Andre voice draws Carlton’s Attention from me. All eyes trails where he’s pointing at and there’s gigantic tree at a far end of the forest. Even as we are standing up on a wooden bridge it’s still so tall and has its branch sprouting out everywhere. The tree is so magnificent and would really get anyone bedazzled. The oak tree. “That’s the oak tree.” Carlton says and someone squeals beside Andre. Griffin. Then with his eyes widen in amazement he exclaims, “The royal tree of the forest!”

They looked like they belonged in fairy tales, not like the broken thing I became when I shifted. I must have made some sound, because Eamon glanced at me. "There's a spot under that oak tree if you still feel self conscious. It will offer some privacy and I swear the view is better too." He led me to a massive tree at the edge of the grounds. The canopy cast shadows that would hide us from most of the other wolves, but we could still see the ceremony taking place. It was perfect. "Does this work?" he asked. "Yeah." My voice came out rougher than I meant it to.

ROSE Oak took a deep breath, and gestured to me to hide behind his wardrobe. There was no time to cross the vast length of room to the other side, so we just had to make do with what we had right now. I quickly ran towards the wardrobe, and threw myself against the door. Out of the corner of my eyes, I noticed that Oak quickly wore his shorts as he took his time picking my clothes up, and shifting it to a corner. "Who is it?" He asked calmly.

He focused on driving toward Orilon. He was already familiar with the routes in Southlake City. He didn't need navigation to go to Orilon. After arriving at Orilon, everyone retrieved flashlights from the car. Tom led the way to the hundred-year-old tree. However, they found that there was a hole dug under the tree roots. Tom's heart skipped a beat, suddenly feeling that something was amiss.

Sebastian's POV I sat under the oak tree in the garden, the screen of my phone lighting up with a voice message from Mason. Sliding my finger across the display, I held the phone to my ear. The Omega girl's voice was awash with hesitation. Every pause whispered of something left unsaid. Once the recording ended, I tapped out a quick note on my keyboard: [She's hiding something. Keep an eye on her.] Mason shot back a thumbs-up emoji instantly.

"Do you realize that you have endangered countless generations of innocent girls tied to that forsaken prophecy?" Aria remained unfazed, taking another sip of her tea as if what I had just said meant nothing. Her calm demeanor only fueled my anger further. "That tree was our way to redemption," I continued, my voice shaking with the weight of desperation and anger. "It was a beacon of hope, a symbol of protection. Without it, we are left vulnerable. How could you be so reckless?" Aria placed her cup down gently, her eyes meeting mine with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. "Do you know how the oak tree worked?" she asked, her voice calm yet piercing.

Daniel muttered, “underground bunker next to the biggest tree in this area.” Our eyes moved around the ground to find the place Jake had mentioned, and landed on a large, perhaps hundreds of years old oak tree. “Move.” Within the next moment, we were out of the car and in the ground, moving cautiously with careful steps. My ears were on a high alert for any unnecessary voice. There was nothing suspicious but I knew things could not be this easy. Ace was on edge, ready to pounce out at any given chance. Daniel and I moved around the ground to find the bunker but there was no trace of it. The whole thousands of acres large ground was spread out into oblivion.
