“See, there’s nothing down here.”
I stare in unbridled horror at the pale face peering back at me from the concealed shadows beneath my bed.
“Ariah, there’s a girl under my bed,” I squeal, pointing frantically. “She’s right there.”
Ariah twists around to frown at me. “Hailey, there is nothing but empty duffel bags.”
“Ariah, I swear, there’s a girl down there. She’s looking at you.”
Ariah stiffens, and her gaze shifts to where I’m pointing. “I don’t see anything.” She blinks a few times before dropping the covers and backing toward me. “Okay, I think we might have discovered your talent.”
