Underground Castle Novels & Stories

I know a way to get into the castle grounds that no one else but Alex and Nathan know about. We stealthily creep the garden until we come across a well. Behind it, in a corner, I move some branches aside to reveal a wooden door on the ground. I lift the door and climb down. Then raise my arms to catch Hope as she jumps down. We’re in an underground tunnel. 'This way will get us into the castle,' I whisper. Hope follows, holding her nose as we walk through the smelly tunnel. The odd rat runs by, squeaking. Finally, we come to a stop as we approach a ladder.

I grabbed tightly the object in my hands. As planned, I branched at the royal kitchen grateful to find it empty, I darted to the drawers and grabbed as much fruits as I can stuff in the pockets of my cloak and some bread. I grabbed a water bottle and filled it to the brim with fresh water. Satisfied, I set again for the underground of the castle. My heart drumming against my ribs, I scuttled across several other passages of the castle, climbed down another fleet of stairs with no rails and entered the underground.

- The passages under the castle. Lucius looked at her with disbelief. How many times has he heard this story? His nanny was telling him that there were passages under the castle built by the ancient dragons. As a child, he looked for them, but with no success, so he decided it was just a bedtime story and brushed it off. - That makes sense.- He slowly spoke. When all of that is over, he will force Demetria to show him the entrance, and then he will destroy each of them.

Halfway through speaking, she looked at the corridor in front of her, and her delicate body trembled, and she froze. 'There... there is an underground palace here?' Feeling shocked, Joanne subconsciously said, "What… what is this place?" 'The palace is hidden underground, so there must be some unknown secrets.' Darryl shook his head. "How would I know?" Joanne did not want to waste her breath and walked toward the underground palace at the end of the corridor. "Ugh!" Looking at the situation, Darryl followed quickly, and he could not help but say, "Don't be so reckless. There are mechanisms everywhere here. Be careful."

“Someone controls this undead, right? Beria asked. -Right. And he can't be too far away. Most likely somewhere underground. “I know of only one place where he can hide,” Berii said gloomily. They both knew. In the east, there is a whole network of underground caves connected by natural corridors and grottoes. Previously, one of them was a copper mine, now abandoned. It was forbidden to go there, but for children, any forbidden fruit is sweet. So secret sorties were often arranged there.

“We don’t wait. I’ll gather the scouts anyway. We’ll check the lower chambers tonight.” “I’ll meet with the witches. Alone.” He didn’t like that, but he nodded. “Be careful.” “I always am,” she said, brushing her fingers along his jaw before vanishing into the shadows of the hallway. But neither of them knew… that deep below the castle, beneath rune-covered walls and sealed corridors long forgotten by time and history, something was waking. A breath exhaled for the first time in centuries. A shiver ran through the foundations of the castle, too subtle for most to notice.

We cleared the mountain ridge, and the forest suddenly gave way to a massive chasm. Looming across the divide was the Obsidian Fortress. It was a huge, black castle carved directly into the side of a mountain. Green torches lined the dark walls. Below the castle, a massive subterranean city hummed with life. Thousands of wolves were training and working in metal foundries. This wasn't a messy group of outcasts; it was a hidden army waiting for a spark. Boran led me across a swaying rope bridge. The moment my feet touched the black stone of the courtyard, a dozen heavily armed warriors surrounded us with spears.

He repeatedly stroked his fingers into his hair and took some deep inhales. “I don’t have any ideas how long has Knight Richard kept her inside the castle…could see the castle?” Novak tried to melt the situation to become more fluid. Clayton sighed. “No. We couldn’t see it, I am sure Richard hiding his castle with something that eyes absolutely difficult to capture…” Novak nodded. “Yes. He was building his castle within the grassland near the lake, sinking into the ground, we probably saw an old door of an old abandoned house surrounded by wildflowers. He built his empire there…”

and rushed toward the door. Following Nicole, Scarlett soon reached the underground floor of the castle. Stepping into a room, her eyes widened in amazement. The place was a massive library! It was so vast that even a wolf's eyes would struggle to see its end. Floor to ceiling, it was adorned with books—an absolute haven for readers. "Oh, Goddess!" Scarlett exclaimed. "This place is... Gorgeous!" She had no idea that Tralington Fort concealed such a treasure in its depths! Nicole chuckled, pulling her by the hand, and instructed Duke to stand guard outside. "This is our library. You'll find books here that are over a thousand years old and answers to all your questions."

I could feel them, dozens of minds brushing up against something inside me, not quite words, more like weather moving through a room with warning, fear and beneath all of it, anger. We spent the hours that followed searching through everything the elders had kept buried beneath the castle, old maps, brittle scrolls, records bound in leather so fragile we had to handle them with gloves, as if they might crumble at the mere suggestion of being read. The castle itself had stood for centuries, and still there were things beneath it older than the stones above. A narrow staircase led us down past the war room into an underground archive I'd never known existed. The walls were carved floor to ceil
