The Moon's Chosen

The Moon's Chosen

KIRA’S POV The page finished loading slowly, as if even the internet itself was hesitant to reveal what I was searching for. Images flooded my screen—aged parchment backgrounds, charcoal sketches, faded drawings that looked like they had been scanned from books far older than this century. My eyes immediately locked onto the first article. The Moonbound Box. I clicked on it. A long passage appeared beneath the heading, written in formal, archaic language. Below it were sketches of wooden boxes—rectangular, carved with symbols, ancient in design. At first glance, my heart jumped.

Shadow Moon Rising: A werewolf romance

Shadow Moon Rising: A werewolf romance

The symbols on the box matched those on the walls, and Luna felt a surge of recognition. "This is it," she whispered, approaching the pedestal. "This is what we were meant to find." Asher reached out, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Be careful, Luna. We don't know what kind of power this artifact holds." Luna nodded, taking a deep breath before carefully opening the box. Inside, she found a crystalline orb that pulsed with a soft, ethereal light. As she held it, visions flooded her mind—visions of a great battle, of sacrifices made and victories won.

Aegis of the Immortal: Blood Blessed

Aegis of the Immortal: Blood Blessed

Ordan stated looking at Omage, "an' yer are unable to enjoy the rest of yer day out. I think that is punishmen' enough." He turned away from them, leaving the room, and mumbling under his breath. "Would still have been better if you had just killed them." A while later Soartin brought out a wooden box from within his cloak and placed it on the floor. Opening it revealed a game of war, the box housing its wooden pieces and opening fully to serve as the game board. Apparently, he had bought it despite how the day had gone. "Who's interested?" he asked, a question that had them lining up, save Alsipin who left the room in anger.

FASHION AND CRIME

“Open it.” Titan nodded and carefully pulled at the ribbon. The wrapping slid away, revealing a beautiful, black wooden box inside. It was polished, almost shining, with a carved symbol on the lid; a dragon spitting fire, its tail coiled like a serpent. The box sat on a bed of rich red cloth, like it belonged in a treasure vault. Victor’s forehead wrinkled. He said nothing, and his eyes fixed on the box. Titan slowly opened it. Inside were three things, each set in its own place.

The Underworld Trials of Luna

The Underworld Trials of Luna

Laila says, a little suspicious, but I plop some of my blankets onto her lap and direct her attention back to the TV, pressing play. Laila goes still for a while, frowning at the screen, and then glances sidelong at me. “How…how did you get the turtle in that box?” she whispers. “And who taught it to speak?” I burst out laughing as I pass my bowl of popcorn to her, conjuring a new one for myself. “Maybe it would be easier to just say it’s sorcery,” Anton murmurs, glancing at me, a delighted and mischievous light in his eyes.

awesome continuity... please if you continue for the other characters, show it in the description like you did for the book 2. there's another book with the same names of Ellie and Dominic and I was confused. I really hope there's a Rafe and Mark book.

I cannot say nearly enough positive things about this book. It’s both a stand alone incredible story, as well as an amazing addition to the universe of “alphas surrogate”. I hope the author continues this family’s stories through other characters lives as well. Her writing is my favorite on this app

Divorced, Desired, Dangerous

Divorced, Desired, Dangerous

"What are you talking about?" Arthur let out a dry, bitter laugh, shaking his head. He reached into his leather briefcase, pulled out a small, faded velvet box, and slid it across the table. It stopped right in front of Darien's hands. Darien didn't touch it. He just stared at it with cold suspicion. "What is this?" "Open it," Arthur whispered. Darien extended his left hand, flicking the brass latch open. Inside the box was not a corporate stamp or a legal document. It was an old, black-and-white photograph, the edges yellowed and frayed with age.
