By the time I hit twenty without a husband, I'd become the joke of Butcher's Alley. During the dinner rush, the lobby of Aurelia Heights suddenly exploded into chaos. So these delivery drivers have been spitting in our food to get back at us?” “That’s disgusting. Guys like him can’t stand seeing other people doing better than they are. No wonder he’s stuck delivering food for a living.” “Management really needs to be stricter. People who dress like that could be carrying who knows what. How can you let them into a luxury building like ours?” The penthouse lady grew even more smug. She pointed right at my nose and snapped, “Young man, there’s nothing wrong with being poor. But at least have some dignity.” “How much do you even make per delivery? Five dollars? Is that worth throwing away your conscience over? Is this how your parents taught you to behave?” To curry favor with the residents, the head of security even came at me with a baton, shouting that he was going to drag me to the police station himself. But the thing was, I had never cared about that five-dollar delivery fee in the first place. I was the captain of the city's Major Crimes Unit. The delivery uniform was just a disguise. I was only here to get close to the high-priority fugitive hiding inside this building. The penthouse lady’s husband.

She successfully gets mated with the Alpha and they have a son, she suppresses the wizard in her son using her powers thus causing her to be slightly weaker and the spell she had cast on Elisha to not be able to trace her breaks. Elisha finds her and threatens to expose her and she promises to return to him but instead returns with the Alpha and the pack guards and they kill him after she accuses him of rape.She doesn't know she is pregnant but Elisha does and before he is killed he releases a spell giving Beatrice's unborn child all his powers.  Beatrice and Deborah have to kill the baby before she reaches eighteen but the child cannot be killed and she will kill them once she is of age. Luna Beatrice has to find a way to neutralize her daughter and hatches the plan that the child belongs to the wizard in hopes that the Alpha will kill her by his hand but the moment she is born he falls in love with her and protects her with his life.

My mother’s a doctor and with one beer and some stolen sleeping pills that she knew nothing about, they were knocked out like little babies. What the hell are you doing?” My mother screamed. “If he catches us now, what the hell do you think he’s going to do to us?” I asked. “I can’t believe you just did that.” My mother said, practically out of breath. “If I had told you that I was going to do it then you would have stopped me.” I said. “Because Alpha Calvin is not going to stop looking for us. He is going to come after us and it will be even worse when he finds us. We don’t even know where we’re going.” Mom said. “Louisiana.” I said. “What?” She asked, looking at me confused. “We’re going to Louisiana. Alpha Kane at the Hidden Moon Pack.” I said.

I pointed at my nephew, who was chatting with guests outside the venue, and said, "What substitute? Ask your husband if he dares to treat his own aunt as a substitute.
