Selene nodded slowly, the elder’s words steeling her resolve.
“I will,” she whispered.
Greta laid a hand over hers. “Then it’s time to prepare. If war is coming to our door, let them see that Bloodmoon is ready to meet it.”
As Greta left, Selene turned to the window one last time, watching as dark clouds began to gather on the horizon.
A storm was coming — and she would be its eye.
With a final breath, she turned from the window and strode out of the room, her steps strong, her head high.
